I was going to say, "That's just a nendoroid thing," but looking at the other figures, they're a bit more even in how they adapt the designs to that SD style. Personally, I don't like the Sonic that much which is why I wouldn't buy the Tails even though I think that one looks decent.
I'm also thinking I'll buy this one, although I now have so many that I'm seriously starting to worry my chrome/glass shelving unit will collapse under the pressure. I normally only buy the classic ones, but this is sort of... "Classic becomes Modern", so I can make that exception I think. It's also a tragedy F4F never made a Classic Amy; the collection is incomplete without her.
On the one hand, I respect them committing to recreating the bad 90's texture surrounding the logo. On the other hand, this thing would've been sick with a more neutral stand.
For those who like transparent PC case windows, AsRock is making a Sonic-themed ATX and another micro-ATX motherboard for Intel (socket LGA 1700): https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E168131...MDYDOXS-_-13-162-101-_-Product&quicklink=true https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E168131...MDYDOXS-_-13-162-105-_-Product&quicklink=true These look pretty sweet, but it's a shame I'm not in the market for a new CPU. If my Ryzen 9 3900x (that I've tried many times to sell because it is more than I need) can't emulate something from the previous generation or earlier, I think the software is more likely the limiting factor.
The Yetee has a pair of nice Sonic designs today (bought myself the latter). A Poet of Espionage: Chaos is Power: Less than 2.5 hours left as of this posting before they are gone forever: https://theyetee.com/
Ordered mine this morning. I was provided 2 coupons for this and neither of them worked, but I figured it wasn't worth the effort to be reimbursed. Anyone else pick one up or have an issue using the coupons?
