I heard it was bikes that were OP, namely Ryu and Shadow.

 

The contextually-odd quotes are somewhat humorous. Sonic's "Aren't you worried", especially if you recall it being part of his "romance" with Elise in '06.

Also, is snaking a big part of this game, or is that just what I've seen so far?

Also, I really don't feel bikes are any more powerful than cars.

As for bikes... While they have some advantages (although I really don't find the straight boost to be that good), so do other vehicles. It's a trait of our minds to see some things as better than others, hence tourneyfags and their fucking tiers.

 

Cool. I just extacted them. Those songs are really big. Some of them where over 70 MB.

 

That's because you're converting them from xWMA (a compressed format) to plain WAV files (the most uncompressed format there is). Nothing stops you from converting those WAVs to MP3 or OGG, but keep in mind that by doing so the quality would decrease a lot because you would be basically transcoding from a compressed format (xWMA) to another compressed format (MP3 or OGG), and as you know, when you transcode something, might it be audio, video, or whatever you want, there is always a huge loss of quality.

 

Alex The Kidd is far more overpowered than Shadow or Ryo in my opinion. I don't think I have lost a race with him yet.

 

I too find it odd that they couldn't get new lines for the Sonic characters. Shadow's 'Noooooo' from '06 is hilarious, though.

 

You guys aren't wrong about the bikes for the most part, especially in the Casino stages. Those have a lot of weird half-turns and narrow straightaways that really benefit bikes, which also have a much easier time getting up hills. However, for most other courses, cars, especially Sonic and possibly the Bonanza Bros, seriously cannot be beat. Sonic's not tearing up the leaderboards because he's Sonic, he's tearing them up because he's so good. His drift radius is wide, letting you go almost straight forward while drifting(However, you'll still have to let go of the gas for most 180's), so I've been able to spam level 3 boosts for almost the entire track.

Also, for those of you playing with Knuckles, there are very few times where his Level 3 boost is more useful than his level 1. In fact, if you can keep level 1 boosting with Knuckle repeatedly, you can keep up with even the best Sonics. Plus he's just fun.

I wonder if I'm still holding first on Treetops on the 360 version. I'm returned the game not too long ago and had a blast with it, but as far as the 360 version goes, some Sonic player named Q cumberR has been ripping the leaderboards apart. Guy wants to be noticed, that's for sure.

But yeah, if Sonic isn't good for a course, choose Shadow, although I'd bet it's easier to do bike tricks on the PS3 and Wii versions than the 360 version, so maybe he's doing better on those versions. Actually, the Wii version probably doesn't have leaderboards. Same goes with DS, I'd bet.

 

Amigo is also pretty good at getting turbo boosts. Except his trick animations aren't nearly as fast as Shadow's.

Kind of funny, I thought Sega All Stars Racing was supposed to fix the problems that Mario Kart had. Seems that it has the same problems, as well as number of it's own.

 

At least Sumo knows about them, and tells the fans that they know, as opposed to Nintendo's "What? There are no problems. Give us your money."

 

I tend to think Shadow is easier to abuse than Ryo.

 

I don't think they're already planning to make a sequel so, for now, it doesn't really matter if they aknowledge the flaws or not.

 

It doesn't look like turd and doesn't have a flying blue shell.

-They affect anyone in front of you that you manage to hit, as opposed to automatically homing in on the person in first, hitting only that person and anyone in their immediate vicinity.
