That link didnt work, this one does though: http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=215942
Oh damn it, he's in a car again!
Didn't SEGA learn with Sonic Drift?
Enough to make Drift 2?
Sorry, I meant "the Sonic Drifts?" Not Sonic Drift.
Wacky races Sonic style. This could be hella fun. I mean, Sonic Team at least knows all about making games that are designed around simple racecourses. I'm far more surprised they did this after a Virtua Tennis 3 hack!
Seems this is going to become a series then. Fighters Megamix 2 anyone??
Hmm, I'll admit that I've always wanted to see a Sonic kart racer, and also the Sonic's car looks kickass.
But I'd rather not see people that not many people care about, such as Amigo and AiAi. Personally I'd be more likely to buy this is, if Sega's sideshows weren't present. I don't get why Sega is trying to push through character like those.
But anyway, we'll see what the gameplay brings before saying much else. It could be brilliant, it could be a trainwreck. Personally I hope it's not the latter.
As long as the cars control well this game could be fun I guess. Oh and they better not put Amy and Shadow over Knuckles again.
Oh wait she's in the game to. Isn't that just peachy.
The game wouldnt be balanced if all the characters ran as Sonic would outrun most of them. That is unless they give Sonic slowdown shoes as he had in labyrinth.
I better be happier with the character roster. Knuckles and Metal Sonic please.
I'll reserve judgment. For all we know, this could be as good as Mario Kart 64.
I am sad that I can't have Sonic on-foot racing a low-flying NiGHTS, though.
So this is either Sonic Drift 3 or Sonic R 2.
Sonic is in a car, it's more Sonic Drift 3 than Sonic R 2.
Oh the awesome. <3 It looks like a Mario Kart Wii that doesn't blow ass! Also, I saw Crabmeat. I can't not get this game. I just wish Sonic had his red Ferrari.
I'd love a HiRes version of this, it'd be a great desktop bg.
As long as the controls aren't wonky, there's good replay-value and the sights are nice, this could actually be an interesting game. As mentioned above, atleast they gave Sonic a car that fits his style.
Though, I will admit, how many 'racing'-related games have there been for Sonic? We have Drift, Drift 2, R, Riders, Riders: Zero Gravity. Olympic Games could be included in this category as well, along with the racing mode in Adventure 2. Got to admit, it does fit the style of Sonic's speed, so it makes sense for this kind of game to be made.
I've said this before: Seriously, Sega might as well make a serious fighting game featuring all there Sega IP.
I'm surprised this game doesn't use the Hedgehog Engine for the graphics.
No, a Sega Vs Capcom would be better.
One thing I noticed about the CG trailer. The banner at the end of the level says Seaside hill. Perhaps they're remaking the Sonic Heroes level as well?
