You lost me at the wubs. By far the best track released from the game with a new stage to go along with it. Or is that Casino Forest without the Casino part? Looks like the Casino bit might have just been added for Classic Sonic given how slapdash it is. The real stage is a moonlight forest?
Holy shit. You're onto something here. And that's not all... I've done my own digging around, and I think I'm onto something big. REAL BIG. This took me a while to find out, but I'm freaking out about it now - I've spoiler'd my research because it's quite disturbing how many layers are on this onion- Spoiler SO. Whilst trying to analyze more of Tails to confirm the fact that he's Infinite (not even a theory anymore at this point, it's pretty obvious), I looked at many sources. That's when I stumbled across the goddamn MOTHER LODE: In Sonic Boom, Season 1, Episode 11, we see the characters sitting at a bonfire, roasting some Marshmallows on the fire. THAT'S RIGHT. MARSHMALLOWS. Why is this important? Read on. The rabbit hole goes deep my friends. On the 16th of September, I stumbled across a tweet by actor Tim Allen. That's right, mister Tool Time himself! In his tweet, he's taken a photo of some tasty MARSHMALLOW TREATS. What's this got to do with anything? Well, let me blow your mind. Just think: who is Tim Allen famous for voicing? None other than Super Hot Action Figure with Karate Chop action BUZZ FUCKING LIGHTYEAR! And what's Buzz Lightyear's catchphrase? TO INFINITY, AND BEYOND. Tim Allen is hinting that Infinite is actually Tails. He's in on the ruse, people! "So what?" you ask. 'INFINITY' and 'INFINITE' aren't the same, right? Well, now I'm about the blow your minds. You know what the difference between Infinity and Infinite is? THE LETTER 'E'. LOOK AT THE TWEET. NOTICE WHAT LETTER IS MISSING: THE LETTER FUCKING 'E'. ADD AN 'E' TO TIM AND IT BECOMES "TIME" AND WE KNOW THAT INFINITE CONTROLS TIME!!! Finally, look at the date of the Tweet: September 16th, 2017, or 09/16/2017 (USA format) - Adding each individual number up (0 9 1 6 2 0 1 7) we get 26 If we do the same with the date that Sonic Boom Episode Aired (31/01/2015 - aka 3 1 0 1 2 0 1 5), we get 13. THIRTEEN IS HALF OF TWENTY SIX This clearly shows that Infinite is HALF the Fox he used to be!! BUT HERE'S THE FINAL KICKER - WHICH PROVES IT'S GAME GEAR TAILS AND NOT MODERN TAILS Count the number of Acts in Game Gear Sonic 2: There's Twenty One acts in total. 21, minus the 13 we calculated above from Tim Allen's Tweet and the Sonic Boom episode airing and what do we get? 8 Bingo. We've found Infinite. Thanks for reading. Be sure to like and subsrcibe- (apologies to all, sorrynotsorry the men in white coats are removing me from the keyboard as I type this)
@Sir_mihael Funny weird thing you wrote, it isn't worth putting so much effort on theories about Infinite's origin but it does in putting silly conspiranoic theories together. Just don't try to fin disguised alien lizards among population now. All in all, ¿why is everyone so convinced about Phantom Ruby and Infinite controlling time? The Phantom Ruby hasn't shown that power in Mania, and Infinite's game hasn't even come out. I've only seen it warping dimensions and transforming eggrobos (I wonder what happened to the little animals inside them).
Not sure about Infinite, but Eggman did send Sonic and co. to the past version of Stardust Speedway using the Phantom Ruby. So it does control time.
But I would argue time zones in Little Planet aren't really a reference, it's not like in generations plot with time eater meddling directly with timeline everywhere. While Egg Reverie has something more to do with space-time continuum, since it's strongly warping dimensions, it's still in Little Planet and it's more like an effect of ripping the fabric of reality more than deliberate and accurate manipulation of time. I think it's a result of both abnormal situations happening simultaneously. The only chance for it to be an actual power of the ruby could have been classic Sonic in modern Sonic's time, but Forces classic Sonic is said to come from another dimension, and Little Planet's influence could still be the reason behind this time bounce. Unless something else shows up in Forces, I still don't see time manipulation as a real power of the jewel.
The Phantom Ruby can not only control time but it can send Sonic to alternate dimensions. For example, the Green Hill in Mania is set at the same time as Sonic 1, as after the events of that game the zone was freed from Eggman, but in an alternate timeline.
That's kind of a leap in logic. Eggman is there so his robots are there. That doesn't mean Green Hill is in the past.
Because I don't think I'm wrong, and I want something that really backups the time manipulation thing, even if it's just Iizuka saying it. Using Little Planet's abnormal features to expand Phantom Ruby's powers wouldn't be a far -fetched idea, but Robotnik making a smart move. You're outdated, their kind was devoured by the reversed universe dwellers, who are hiding in... your Shadow! :v:
Time appears to flow independently on Little Planet. In Sonic CD's animations it goes from its metal covered state to its natural state. Or to put it another way, the Time Stones affect nothing but the Little Planet and its inhabitants. Similar to the way the timeshift stones function in Zelda: Skyward Sword. It's possible that the Phantom Ruby just teleported Sonic to the Little Planet, which just so happened to be in its "Past" state at the time.
So who lives in Japan and is willing to eat lunch there every day to nab those coasters for the wiki (and also record the dance)?
It's the only thing that explains the things are the same as before but different. Like the 'chained little planet', the Metal Sonic ready to be fought at Stardust Speedway. IF this game was made in a series where they take details seriously it'd be easy to pinpoint plot elements from that kind of behavior, but yeah they could whipe up some half assed explanation like 'oh it's not the same time, Eggman just rebuilt everything almost identically as before but made some changes'.
Hey, anyone want to see what a Hooters looks like with a bunch of Sonic Paraphernalia? https://kotaku.com/sonics-collaboration-with-hooters-looks-grim-1819497375 I know I said I'd try to stay away from this thread but god damn it Sonic Team! Stop sodomizing Sonic the Hedgehog!
(courtesy of SEGAbits Facebook page) I wouldn't mind a proper picture of that Classic Sonic poster, but without the Sonic Forces writing on it. It's not often you see a picture of Classic being serious
I just love that they picked that angry Classic Sonic render to be used as the character cutout propped up near the booth. He gives off this "hardcore American Kirby" attitude to the image. Like he's absolutely disgusted with the Sonic x Hooters collaboration, or that he has to deal with the Forces logo slapped on top of him. You almost expect him to quip at anyone that walks by "The ffffffuck ya'll looking at?" >
