Sonic Classic Heroes

mmm...actually that's the complete animation for Knux...as far as I'm concerned Sonic and Tails will still use their Sonic 2 title screen normal animation and flamewing will add this. I asked him if he can add it the same way as Sonic does it will be good, since I used Sonic's sprites for base this

 

uh...no offense but I think the Sonic 2 beta screen looks bad to me...I prefer the normal one, but alas, if you wish use it or to pixelate the other artwork which is really god go ahead, can't wait to see the result

 

Right, my idea is basically that, but this is a mockup, so improvements can and must be made.

 

In terms of bugs, I have found more.

When Sonic tries to respawn under water, his jump height is shortened, and he never makes it to ground, and constantly dies as long as he has to respawn with water. This happened alot in Chemical Plant.

Also somehow...the characters aren't breathing underwater?! I see no air bubbles. Not sure how I got that...

When fighting the Hill Top boss...some graphics got glitched.

And NOW I somehow appear on the outside of Metropolis tubes...

 

I'm no expert, but he probably removed them for VRAM space. Was that list of changes from near the start complete?

 

Are you going to pixel them.

 

Yeah I really broke something, because everyone appears on the outside of indoor areas.

No that's someone else's task. I'm not good with pixel art. I just made a potential arrangement.

Alternated I was going to keep the original Sonic banner only put the 2 in between Sonic and Heroes

Holy crap. Knuckles looks like he's been playing in an onion ring hack or something. Dude looks fat.

 

Why does Knuckles look fat? Keep in mind, part of that white space in front of his stomach is one of his dreadlocks, and it's hard to get his muzzle right when you are only using a pen. But like I said, that's just a concept, it's for the pixel artist to perfect.

 

Knuckles usually has a smaller muzzle than Sonic. That could be what's making him look chubby.

 

More like his cheeks are puffed out making him look fat or like he's eating something.

You have my apologies man. I didn't mean to come off like I was nit-picking. On the other hand, I like it! I'm looking forward to seeing some colour.

 

Keep in mind there are only so many official Genesis Knuckles pictures since he was made so late. And I hate Chaotix artwork, so all I have is that one. But no I don't mind the nit picking it'll help me improve

 

Personally I find the official hand drawn artwork compared to the game sprite artwork to be very different in art style. I also find the hand drawn artwork to be quite ugly compared to the sprite art.
