Sonic Classic Heroes

I offer you my humble contribution to this great project:



Basically what I did was copy Knux's sprite from Sonic 3 to fit the style of the Sonic 2 title screen. I just redrew the whole thing and moved Sonic and Tails a bit aside to make him fit. I'm not quite sure about the "heroes" text but you are free to change it if you want, and the colours of Knux too, feel free to change anything you want if you want to use it Also if needed, I can animate Knuckles if you want him to move like Sonic and Tails do into the screen.

 

That title screen looks great, I don't think animation would even be needed.

 

Your good at drawing from what I've seen you do in the past with your fan character. Are you capable of doing an original title screen in a similar fashion to what you have done here? Maybe something like Sonic in the middle with Tails and Knuckles with their backs facing Sonic but looking towards the screen. I'm sure flamewing would love to see something like that. I know I would.

I do like this title screen that you have done here as it does capture the hero's theme perfectly. I just feel that it could be done better. And you seem the right person to do the job.

flamewing: sure thing. I can send you a .PSD file if you want, just drop me a PM if you want it and yes, I think I can animate Knux in 4 frames like Sonic and Tails do. I think I can reference from his Sonic 2 animation.

steveswede: I think I can do that too, but right now I'm kinda busy with commissions plus I got an injury in my left eye so my vision is not the best at this moment but I think I can do it when I feel better.

thx guys :D I'll try to get that done asap once my left eye heals, right now im just typing looking with my right eye xDDD and it kinda unconfortable for drawing and stuff >.<

 

I'm still willing to give drawing something a try, however you would have to wait until next Monday. I don't have a lot of time this week due to tests and going up to Boston and stuff

 

While it doesn't look bad, it's quite odd having Knuckles in the middle, and his glove looks more CG-ish than Tails' or Sonic's.

 

Yeah, I don't dislike it, but I don't think Knuckles fits the style of the other two.

 

well that's because I used as base the Sonic 3 & K sprite of when you finish the game with him, that's why the style kinda clashes a bit with the other two, and actually flamewing asked me to move knuckles to the other side so that's what I'm gonna do, he liked it and he is gonna use it, so yeah, I have to do an animation of it now, if after the animation he doesnt like it, I'll try redrawing knuckles into another style then.

 

Incidentally, I wondered how the S2&K version of Knuckles would fit in, but having reacquainted myself with it, it'd probably be worse. :v:

 

Another idea would be using SA3 life icons sprites to make an official Sonic 2 Heroes logo pretty much like Sonic&Knuckles



I already relied on such an idea to make a certain Sonic Nexus sprite and the result ended up being pretty good

 

I agree with you :D the icons would be a nice touch

 

I think the Advance icons are hideous...

 

I also think the advance series art style is hideous as well. And would clash big time with the 16 bit series. I can't stress how much it makes me want to vomit when I see advance style sprites with the 16 bit art.

I would do something original that you would consider to fit rather than base off something that clashes already with the 16 bit style.

Huh wait, did you guys actually made the effort to read properly what I wrote? I was talking about the SA3 ones, the ones that are almost 100% identical to the Sonic&Knuckles logo -_-"
