I'm "psyched" because we have an all new Sonic game with amazing looking gameplay and graphics, with interesting redesigns of characters and a new cool character as well.
As far as gaming goes, apart from MGS4, this is the best thing to happen in a while for my favourite franchises.

Or rather fapping over the physics that go with it. Tell me it isn't awesome seeing Sonic throw a badnik through a brick wall and having the bricks go every which way into the distance, Half Life 2 style. Bitchin'. Also, it's not just the graphics. The gameplay seems to be focused on the traditional "Go forward as fast and stylish as possible", but while retaining multiple paths and good level design/aesthetics. that's why we are psyched.

    1. No, not the physics, seriously. It's almost as if they never played SA or something.

    WOW THAT'S FACKIN' BRAND NEW

    2. I'm not particularly psyched about Sonic having realistic physics. Since when did a Sonic game rely on or use realistic physics?

The Havok engine will probably apply more to Silver's levels, guys.

Actually, his grabbing mechanism reminds me of a game for the N64, Rocket something...

That's what I like to hear.

And yet Saz says the PS3 version is slower...?

Could be just an early build. I'm guessing that they actually designed the game on a X360, and have been porting it over to PS3, so the PS3 demo at E3 was still a bit buggy in places compared to it's X360 counterpart.

Does anyone think that there might be a return of the time stones? I know they were a one off for Sonic CD but if Silver is from the future, how did he get to the past?

That would be awesome, but I doubt it. Most likely it'll be a new form of Chaos Control or something like that.

(By the way, you have the best sig ever.)

I think the Time Stones have effects only on Little Planet...

I think the real question here isn't PS3: framerate or not? It's PS3: cockinthefayce or not?

Could be something new altogether, like Iblis Stones or something.

  13. Oh God. That sounds so horrible, but it scares me because it's also entirely plausible.

I wouldn't write the Time Stones off just like that, Shade - don't forget that both Amy and the more familiar Metal Sonic design came from Sonic CD, and they're still around. It might not be very likely, but it's definitely possible.

Well I am going by the logic that Little Planet would have to be in the game in order for it to happen, and I'm %99.9 sure that won't happen.

I think most of us have lost hope after the last, uh, 7? Sonic bombs.

Hey, I actually did something useful! =D

Gameplay trailer of pretty much the whole of a ruins level. Looks very crisp and great physics. Free-falling effects are back. A few sprinting areas.

In short, if you liked Sonic Adventure, it's like that, with little but the expected changes. Like Sonic Adventure DX, if it were an actual Director's Cut.

Edit: And I became a member... when? This is unexpected. My first week here, I decided that I probably wouldn't get in because I wasn't at all as technical as you guys. Hmm. Oh, well. Huzzah for me! ^_^
