Sonic Colours out for Wii/DS

Yeah, you'd think they'd have bothered to change it by now. Especially since they've changed the topic subtitle several times now...

So, apparently, somethin' nice for us 2 or three Tokusatsu-fans on here as well -- very apparent with the Japanese voice tracks, Sonic Colors is apparently a sorta homage to Kamen Rider W. See this VERY final-boss-spoiler-heavy video for definite proof. :v

I don't know about you guys but for me this game is much better than Sonic 4. For starters it didn't pretend to be a retro game, I knew from the start it was going to be a modern Sonic game. This game feels like Unleashed minus the shitty parts of Unleashed. Also the graphics are FUCKING amazing and the soundtrack is awesome.

 

Alrighty, 100%'d both versions (All Red Rings, S Ranks.) Going to give a little time to simmer before ruling on the games.

Preliminary: both were definitely good, but still need a few kinks ironed out.

 

Colours knows what it wants to be, it isn't lazy and it's got heart. It's not perfect by a long shot, but it's definitely a really good game. Pretty much everyone agrees.

 

Best review yet of this game.

 

They gave it a 3/5. There isn't a video review online yet, but hopefully there will be one soon.

So, um, this game is good, right? Like S3&K good? Because several months ago during March I realized that the Wii hasn't had a single mainstream Sonic title (if you don't count Unleashed), unlike last generation where the Gamecube got everything (SA1, SA2, Heroes, Shadow, plus the spinoffs...). So in March I got Unleashed for Wii, and I was hugely disappointed. I regret buying Unleashed, because it's very un-Sonic like and ugh... sorry, not gonna get into a rant here, but I think it's shit.

But now we have a true mainstream Sonic title on Wii, not a lame "port/demake/wannabe" like Unleashed Wii/PS2. And Colors is actually designed for the Wii and not limited by the PS2...

So this game is good, right? And worth buying? 'cause I want it NAO, but I'm hoping I don't regret buying it.

 

I'd definitely say it's worth buying. IMO it comes very close to S3&K levels of good, tying with Sonic 2 for 2nd place.

 

Oh that is just fucking hilarious.
