That "finished" picture of Sonic for the Title Screen is missing his right arm. How was this unnoticed?

I didn't have that one in the rips I used, I'll add it up.

 

While you're at it, Sonic's elbow is a bit too low, compare it to the original shot I posted earlier

I think the black and original shading needs to be kept on these. Without the black, Sonic looks a lot more washed out then he should.

I'm not sure whether this has bothered anybody else but;



The shade I've highlighted actually appears lighter than the next-lighter shade (The outer part of the teardrop-shaped shine) on my laptop's display.

I know it's not, in actuality, because desaturating the entire thing looks right, but the highlighted blue is a very garish shade indeed, and not present on the original image.

 

...Shouldn't Sonic's arm be a separate sprite in the last frame?

 

Yup, it already is. The one Vincent posted here was just for illustration purposes.

 

Did this in MS Paint, because my PS is acting up, so I apoligize for sloppiness.



The muzzle looked a little short, and I thought it looked kind of odd, how his face stopped. Just for reference.

I haven't seen this until now, but damn that looks HD. We could actually use that!

Damn, that's a nice wallpaper. I'm using it right now.

 

Looking at it now, I think that mountain needs texture (NOT "lol, I'll stick a picture of grass on it!"). Most of all, the brown areas need to look like rocks, and I guess the green areas need a bit of a "grain" to them to make it look like grass/trees. It would be cool to make it look like Westside Island, kind of like the picture of the little planet from Sonic CD (meaning, draw bits of the zones onto it, such as loops and things).

 

I am having fun making the coolest font in the world, pixel perfect (that's me alright), in basically all sizes. Arial will be replaced with this in fangames I am sure of it:

It's beta right now. A lof of delta hinting remains especially on problematic letters and numbers. In size 12 it is 100% like the original Sonic 3/Sonic CD HUD font. Both shadow and height between character lines are wrong in the image.

What has already been done for this project: Font has been exported in 4X size with Sonic 2 italic angle, anti-aliased, and a custom 80'es shadow's been added. Not really ready yet.

Mmm dunno, I mean, HD doesn't need textures all the way..., It'll be awesome if someone make a high detail island... but, It will be hard too.
