Or maybe, Robotnik's penis is blown clean off into the air, and it lands in Sonic's martini, then sonic puts the burned penis in his mouth, taps it like a cigar, looks at the audience and says, "meh, what's up doc?" That would be pretty neat, too.
Probably not the best idea for a remake of Sonic 2, but I could see that idea working for a Sonic's Bad Quill Day type of fangame. lol
A cutscene showing Robotnik imaginating how would his life be if he didn't try to conquer the Earth, how different would things be, then we see him realize how wrong he was and drops a tear of frustration because he wasted his life. THAT is what we need after defeating a boss. + - huehuehuehue

No, I was saying that you DO have a sense of humour because you didn't interpret my suggestion as serious, which it obviously wasn't, neither was the bloody nose suggestion. Haha, it's just the Eggman in a classic pose from a version of the Sonic 1 box art. I like to make different sonic figures with a plasma CNC machine I bought. That one is hanging on my wall in the laundry room as metal art, but they can also be used an stencils. If anyone ever wants to design something cool and Sonic related I'd be happy to cut it for them, so long as they cover the shipping. Just sayin'.

I've always seen Eggman in your avatar, I don't get how anyone saw otherwise. It's funny how a thread about a remastered version of Sonic 2 goes from arguments about trees to discussions about avatars. It's great.
