Just got my copy in the post literally right now, gonna go play it ^^

 

I'm slightly miffed about the amount of content that isn't available from the start. My friend wanted to play as Beat(turned out he wasn't on the starting roster), but yeah, over half the characters need to be purchased. It wouldn't be so bad if I didn't want to play as Opa Opa or Alex Kidd, but I'm OCD as fuck so I'm unlocking shit one by one in order.

Just now turned it on to this bullshit. At least my roommate has a 360, but he's asleep, I can't ask if I can use it.

...and so, another reminder about why I'm getting rid of my 360.

Starting roster isn't so bad. While I'm not thrilled the PS3 version gets fewer characters without factoring in future DLC, it doesn't really detract since all we really have here is user-generated avatars and a failed platforming brand (argue it all you want, Nuts and Bolts still did terribly.)

 

This happened to me with GTA4. Praying it won't happen tomorrow. May be getting a couple of people over, few drinks and playing split screen :P Just like old times on Mario Kart.

 

This XBOX is almost four years old, and it has survived two (well, three now) RROD's, only needing repairs the second time (the pennies/electrical tape trick, to be more specific). I've never regretted purchasing/owning it. My electronics have all had their own quirks. Hell, the Wii's disc tray emits a loud buzzing noise when it reads, and has been for three years.

 

Maybe I'm just bitter that I spent $400 on mine and it breaks so easily. It's been nothing but a pain in the ass... conveniently after the one year mark too (six days after, it RROD'd)

 

There's also leftovers of Sega Superstars Tennis, and stuff for handling PS2, and PSP memory cards.

Off topic, but if you go to Dell.com today, Xbox Arcades are 159.00, new. I don't know if there's tax or not, but I think shipping is free.

 

Does nobody send in consoles to Microsoft for free repairs? I assume the first two times were within the first three years, so you would've been eligible for that.

 

The first time was when it came right back on after, and the second time (the penny time) was like a month after my warranty expired.

Online's pretty cool, I just wish I could find better players. These kids I keep finding suck it up pretty bad, and there's always a village idiot who goes around the course in reverse.

EDIT: Ah, Catch-Up was off on the last couple. No wonder they were so boring.

 

I'd be curious to see if it's on the PS3 moreso than Wii.

 

The PS3 version was the target platform, so I wouldn't hold my breath.

And I cracked. I got the Wii PAL version downloaded, so I'll be playing this when I get home.

 

Apparently it's got some anti-piracy measures.

This screen comes up no matter what save type I set it to in AKAIO...

 

Yeah, I took a look at the comments, and noticed people were having some problems on flashcarts.
