    I think it’s funny that although Sonic’s greatest strength in the dark ages of poor gameplay was probably music, these days we’re seeing better gameplay in exchange for less-inspired music.

    In this part it seems like the boosters are here solely for this background/foreground transition gimmick they have going on in this game. They possibly want the switch to be swift and make it impossible for Sonic to cancel that switch midway through, so as to not create game breaking problems with the physics. A positive development.

    (However, I would argue that it would have been more interesting and immersive to have those same boosters -- which are straight out of chemical plant) be something a bit more in line with the level's aesthetics/lore, and that wouldn't stick out like a sore thumb)

    I’d laugh if instead of using those boosters, they’d let Sonic fall into the pit if he slowed down mid-way through the loop.

    Okay, that first zone is pretty well designed. It's not classic sonic per-se, but it's unique in its own right and clearly offers a lot of chances to use momentum based exploration.

    There's also not that many dashpads after all.

    I think something else mentioned it here, but...
    Bridge Island reminded a bit of Sonic Fan Remix.
    The level design, the lighting (maybe can quality?), the flow...
    I may be wrong, but felt a bit funny, that feel...

    The blue warp ring at 10:37, is that the first indication of level design that requires you to manipulate the physics to achieve something? Looks like the only (non-Tails) way to get it is to launch up the slope from the right and jump.

    Bridge Island’s level design makes feel much more reassured to be honest, in comparison to Speed Jungle’s. Really hoping the game is more of that, gives me vibes not only of Mania, but APlusStart’s Sonic Chaos remake demo. The best way I can think of describing Bridge Island is like Angel Island, but with more space to breathe.

    Someone showed a bit of that in an earlier recording, if you get atop that loop there's actually a swinging pendulum thing that you have to run into with enough speed and it'll swing you forward into the ring.


    Also... at 4:32 in that video, Sonic gets a... green geometric fruit? I wonder what those are for.

    Also 2... the person playing seems a bit salty or is maybe just bad at platformers. During the Magical Leopluredon boss fight he runs straight into a pit and doesn't react to jump in time so he blames the game lol. About 10 seconds later the same thing happens where he just has to react and jump over a wall but he slams into it and remarks the game is not family friendly

    from my understanding there has to be at least 7 zones as you can only get one emerald per zone. Personally I'm hoping for at least 14 zones on par with sonic 3k, maybe even some character exclusive ones.

    I heavily doubt we're going to have 14 levels. My bet is 8 up to 10.
