Well anyways, I got to thinking, and I thought of something: They may likely do a DLC for 1-2 extra zones from each game represented in this thing, so as to please plenty of fans that wanted more from this, as well as get extra monies from this. It makes total sense if you think about it, with both the fans getting what they want and Sega being able to become drowned in money from it.

If it does happen, I assume that this could be a good idea on what to expect (my opinion on what could happen. :V) :

    Sonic 1: Scrap Brain Zone
Sonic 2: Casino Night Zone (herpderp confirmed)
Sonic 3&K (since they're pretty much considering the two as one game) : It's a toss-up between Hydrocity Zone, Ice Cap Zone, Flying Battery Zone and Lava Reef Zone. My monies on two of these being DLC.
Sonic Adventure: Either Red Mountain or Sky Deck. My money's on the latter, hoping more for the first one.
    Sonic Adventure 2: Final Rush
Sonic Heroes: Mystic Mansion or Sky Fleet
Sonic 06: Either Radical Train or Kingdom Valley (either one would be alright)
Sonic Unleashed: Eggmanland (Because we weren't throwing our controllers at our screens hard enough, amirite? :v: )
    Sonic Colors: Starlight Carnival

Just my opinion, but if they do at least 1 DLC zone per game represented here, this would likely be the list (give or take a zone or two), and I wouldn't mind at all.

My Sega account was hacked and my personal information exposed due to their inability to secure their own website, and as a result, they want us to give them more money to unlock on-disc DLC?

    Hell no, for shame, SEGA.

This isn't a leak, this is hacking. :v:

Sonic's seen worse birthdays than this. It's so easy to forget about Sonic Genesis and Sonic 0Sucks these days :eng101:

If they were going to have so many city levels, why couldn't they include the classic one, Star Light? I would have loved to hear that zone's song again...

Another thing I remember hacking wise (sorry) is that most of what Sonic does in terms of height and speed are actually variables that can be edited in xml/lua files inside the .ar files, much like Sonic Unleashed. So if you have a issue with physics, it should be relatively easy to edit them for both the developers and people who can somehow find a way to repackage the game with modified files.

Also about the date of the game, the file time for when the Xbox version was put together was "Thu May 19 07:34:21 2011". The majority of the files were modified on May 6th. That should say how old the game is.

Also someone asked about City Escape's music being in this demo. For some reason, even though all the files for City Escape are basically here, the music isn't. Also, if there's a chance that the demo here is older than the E3 demo, City Escape should be older as well - which could be pretty interesting.

I love how even though the demo basically tells us everything about the game, it gives us more questions than answers. I guess it's a bit better than having Sega spoon feed us little tidbits every month. :P

EDIT: I actually take that back, the demo doesn't have the "packed" versions of City Escape. It does however, have Green Hill Zone Act 2. I wonder if GHZ Act 2 will be unlocked later? I know for sure that all the files needed for GHZ Act 2 are here, music, objects etc.

    A thousand times THIS.

Also, played the demo for a little bit, thoroughly enjoyed my time.
It seems to me that Classic Sonic is a tad on the 'heavy' side if that makes any sense.

Great findings to all the hackers having a good look inside the thing, kudos.

Actually it would be possible on a ps3 since all the keys and everything got leaked/hacked. Completely opened system to do anything you want...

Trying the debug mode would be interesting, and playing the modern stage and what's in there from City Escape...

Any chances you guys could upload some videos with the debug features and stage/file swaps?
I don't know anyone with a jtag xbox...

EDIT: Starlight zone should be one of those city zones...
And Instead of some garbage seen in the list I'd put spring yard maybe and of course more S3 SCD ones.

That's the trap. You have to pay SEGA to get the content either way.
If you buy the game used, you have to pay SEGA to unlock the on-disc DLC that you technically already physically own, if you buy the game new you're still paying SEGA.

It's impossible to get the DLC without paying them, which I personally find absurd.
On-Disc DLC is a demon. I wouldn't be complaining if this content wasn't on-disc. I thought they learned their lesson a long time ago.

The only way, I can see them, remedying this is if they email all SEGA Pass users that had their accounts hacked as a result of their shitty security a FREE Download code for the DLC, then all would be well. We deserve some compensation in that regard.

Also, yeah I think barriers are coming back. I checked the sound files for City Escape at least, and the sounds for each barrier are there. Ironically for this prerelease, they're using the unused version of the sfx when you get the thunder shield from Sonic 3 instead of the final one. lol

Because they would never in a million years pick Starlight Zone over Green Hill Zone when they have to cram in one level per game.

Oh, wait. I forgot it was free with preordering. SEGA didn't do anything wrong this time then, I take back my post.

I'm very picky when it comes to the subject of DLC, be it SEGA or not. I hate the prospect of it.

I'll tell you why this is bullshit. I have to buy the game before it releases, via preordering, or I either don't get the DLC, or I have to pay extra for it. I go to college, I barely make enough money to survive and eat off of, and if I want this DLC, I have to put actual important crap aside to preorder this game before it releases. Fuck you, SEGA. Thanks. My original plan was to buy this game for used, cheaper. I'm getting it eitherway, but, I definitely did not expect to HAVE to buy this game before it releases. Oh, of course, I don't HAVE to buy it ... but, look at the incentive. I'm buying this game mainly for the remade classic levels.

  17. How dare we want to be thrown a bone after an undeniably long period of time in which we've been fucked about both as Sonic fans and as gamers just for wanting what's in this game. :colbert:

This thread is going to get very ugly very fast. In before a swift pruning by the higher ups.

  19. Mine was only half heartedly meant but SEGA have made a pretty penny off of both our nostalgia and hope for a better Sonic for a while now. Even after Unleashed was a step in the right direction, they came out with Black Knight... And the 4 title I shant even pronounce correctly.

On to the actual relevance of this post... AWESOME, can't wait to see that knuckles model and how SEGA respond to their own lack of security :)

How many times are we going to have this discussion? Next person to whine about DLC in this thread gets 2 weeks off.

    I'm not saying this again.
