This is a good point. I wonder when we will know what else they did to it other than new playable character and such. Like is it HD or straight port? Widescreen or normal? I'd assume as much work as they put in it at this point that they'd do that but idk.
They are probably accessed the same way Dural is in Virtua Fighter 2 (off screen between Sonic and Knuckles). I'm thinking Eggrobo :v:
Looking at the game again, it really makes me realize how much those old character designs still hold up. Besides the fact they're so low-poly, they still look fantastic, even now.
Well they are comming out in Japan on Dec 10th, and this whole trailer is in 4:3, so id say pretty certainly, they are not gonna be in widescreen lol
So why no US announcement yet? I'm hoping there not thinking of doing something really dumbassed and screw us over on this port. Because that would be stupid. really, REALLY stupid.
I think it'll still come to the US. Sega has NEVER released an XBLA game that stayed Japan exclusive. And if it doesn't get released in the US, then I'm buying a PS3 and getting it off the Japanese store.
They will. They now very well that they will never hear the end of it from us fans. If Sega did decide to put work into 90s cult sonic game I am pretty sure they would release it in north america and europe.
Especially with them going towards a more digital distribution of their games. With a move like that, it would be completely unprecedented for them not to.

Yeah everyone's pretty excited about Honey becoming official. Fighting games are one of the genres where getting to play as many characters possible is sought after. It made Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 2 & 3 very popular games, and is also one of the main reasons Mugen even exists. I have actually never played an emulated / hacked version of Sonic the Fighters so this could be my first experience playing as Honey or Eggman.
