She will just have a car that transforms... odd choice I know, but if it makes them money and/or more marketing then I am ok, but Mario would have been a nice throw in. I love Shadow's vehicle... so much.
I'm guessing there'll be a cartoony version of the celebrity in the game. While her and the car don't really fit in the game, it is understandable why Sega put her in the game considering their current financial situation.
On the one side, it's nice seeing the Sonic name on something other than a video game or a McDonalds advert; reminds me of when Sega sponsored the Williams team in Formula One. On the other... We get a not so recognizable character who bears no relation to the company's history amongst a full cast list of instantly familiar icons. Eh, I'm cool with it.. I guess.
If this game was perfect, it would include Vectorman, Ristar, NiGHTS, Toejam and Earl...and Ecco, floating on land, swimming just below the surface in water, and being carried by a pterosaur by air. :specialed: But I doubt that's happening. Ever.
According to Sumo Digital's Steve Lycett, Danica Patrick is NOT a character that stole a slot from a more important Sega character. So, with that said, Time for speculation. We know Danica did voiceover work, so who is she voicing? My money's on The Hornet. :v:
Good to know but it's also a shame that whenever SEGA is involved people just jump to blind criticize without waiting for the facts.
Hahaha, Danica? Never even knew of her until nude pics surfaced about 2-3 months ago. Oh well, as long as she isnt stealing thunder away from actual Sega characters I don't really care.
This seriously saddens me... SEGA's one of the most influential companies in my life and I'd hate to see them go. I was already planning on buying this game but I'll make sure all of my gamer friends get it too. It seems like SEGA is riding EVERYTHING on this game.
First in game footage I've seen from the E3 showfloor. Shows someone playing as Sonic (kind of badly, but eventually wins the race) on the Golden Axe track.
I can't recall ever seeing gameplay footage from an expo where the person playing was actually good. Nonetheless, I love how the game looks so far and hope it'll look even better in the final retail version.

Hornet is a car from Daytona USA. People think of it as a character because you could use it as a fighting character in the Sega Saturn game Fighters Megamix.
