Wow, that kid was painful to watch. Kudos to him for being so calm and not crying a river, but...damn. Now if only he'd get the point and quit trying to convince you he has oh-so-much spare time, if even the capacity to beta-test with any sort of competence.

That aside, I've been keeping tabs on this for a while, and it's quite the hack. Can't wait to see what else you've got in store for this, pal. Uncurling is a nice touch, and those updated falling sprites are pretty sweet. Good work all around.

If you want to mirror Sonic 4 so much you should probably change the physics to make it feel like you're underwater all the time. =P

 

Well, you could always slightly update Sonics palette to have the ridiculously high exposure that now exists in S4.

Something you don't want to see either, as it's more commonly known as Sonic and Friends, winning last year's Shadow trophy, iirc.

 

I've been playing through whichever build was available for SAGE (not sure if there's a newer one, but oh well), and I'm wondering why I can walk across some of the lava in Metropolis. There's a point in Act 2 with a lava pit and a spring, and the collision makes it so I can't use said spring. I'm kinda stuck so I just have to tap the D-pad until I fall through a crack and die. This is my first time actually playing through the hack instead of just dicking around up until Casino Night or so (I personally hate Oil Ocean's color scheme, music, and general flow, so I tend to stop there when I play through the game), so it's probably happened to someone else already, but...yeah, just sayin'.

Havin' a good time though, don't get me wrong. Looking forward to future releases.

 

It's not just Metropolis' Lava...

As you can see, the rotating tiles in Casino Night no longer have any collision.
If I remember correctly, this happens when saving a level in SonED2.
I think it had something to do with SonED2 not reading collision for animated tiles, so assigns them as blank.
I could be wrong though...
