    On-topic: Why not have Mega Man's Bass style shooting, with 8-directions, and give him specific targets only his gun can shoot to open new paths on any custom levels.

    I always thought metal sonic would work great as a sort of dark story ala sa2. He could fight sonic and tails along the way (Tails could make eggmobile esq machines too). And as sa2 showed us metal doesnt have to be a sonic clone either

    I've decided to place Nack in, and his special move will be a drill like move (similar to the buble shield...sort of). It will allow you to break certain blocks and items that sonic and knuckles cannot. Allowing for secret paths etc...

    Is everyone happy with this choice? :D

    You can borrow some Fang's moves from Sonic the Fighters.

    You could have a crack at building levels (or paths within levels) where he has to use his gun to progress <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G8Q6fu6ciII" target="_blank">like a certain EWJ2 level</a>

    Grappling gun. Tails and Knuckles have locomotive abilities; it's only fair that Fang should have one.

    could be a possibility, but tails could still get to the places as well. I think the drill jump will suit. The gun feels to un-sonicy

    Even though most of you probably don't care about SRB2 stuff...

    Don't ask how I got that to loop so perfectly :psyduck:
    But anyway, that's what it looks like ingame, maybe slightly slower. It's for—what else—a Sonic Xtreme mod for SRB2. This wasn't too hard to pull off either. I even got him to blink randomly, so he's not constantly blinking as he stands there like in a lot of those Xtreme videos. And of course, I'm actually working on Jade Gully at the moment ("PackageX" inspired me to do this, if it wasn't already obvious), and I may post a picture if anyone's interested. It doesn't have Xtreme textures at the moment, but I'm just trying to get the basic structure done.
