First post, blah, blah, whatever. Hi there. Hoping this hasn't been posted yet... well, I've read the thread and I don't think so... Bah, here goes: "SONIC CRACKERS S32X" - Start the ROM in Kega Fusion - Select TIME ATTACK in main menu - Advance through PLAYER and NPC SELECT - On ATRACTION SELECT, do a Save State - Now, start the ROM in Gens and load the Save State - The game will most likely screw up and crash, but that doesn't matter - Enter the Genesis VDP viewer via CPU->Debug->Genesis VDP (- If you can't see anything, select a different palette - * on the numpad, I think)

Awesome find by the way.
Whoa. Hell, if Crackers title sprites are still there, who knows what else could be in there? So, apparently, there should be a prototype even EARLIER than this one that calls itself Crackers 32X. And to think this buggy, near-unplayable ROM can uncover such things.
Can we now stop saying there's even the tiniest shred of doubt that Crackers wasn't a very early Chaotix now? =P
I thought "Sonic Crackers" was just the name whoever ripped the old rom and inserted the title screen into it decided it should be called.
Because of this I will never put down another trial member again. If they're gonna do THIS, I have no right to insult any of them. You sir/mam/whichever, are amazing. Same, I wasn't sure if Crackers was the official name or not... but now we know ^_^
So now we've got proof that Crackers is official, that there was, at one point a 32x build of Crackers and that the dragon in Sonic Adventure does exist, both due to trial members popping out of nowhere and saying small tidbits. I tip my imaginary hat off to this people. Anyway, I'll start comparing layouts this weekend, I need several hours to do it really in-depth.
I remember when Crackers was found a lot of people said it was a hoax... I wish I could show this to them now ^_^
We already knew that Crackers was the official name, as when Pachuka was working at SOA he looked it up the archives or something. Still though...great find!
To tell the truth, I wasn't sure about the authenticity of that title screen in Sonic Crackers - until now I guess. Awesome find indeed.
I can't believe how you guys are saying you weren't sure about Crackers being legit or its screen being legit. I mean, I've had several proofs of this forever, and I've been saying it publically. Eh...
Didn't you say you had a couple of stories to post in thread, drx? Infact, you even offered to post the story of how the Crackers rom originated but you never got around to it. http://forums.sonicretro.org/index.php?sho...ic=9267&hl=
You have? Really? Well I haven't been in the community much lately so sorry if I missed something. I just sort of returned when these betas came out. I mean I knew Crackers was real but ... it's such an odd name you know? Like they threw it together in a few moments... but yeah if you have a story, I'd love to hear it.
Sonic Crackers Super 32X? Wow, great find. By the way, I can't say I remember reading much Crackers stories, either...
We've got another mystery on our hands gang! What about Studium/Stadium? Also, was it originally called the "Super 32x" at one point? I don't know much about those sort of things.
Turn off (disable) the 32X in Kega for example, and try to load a 32X ROM and see what it says to you... Super 32X.
Yeah I don't recall to see those stories gone public either. drx is hoarding us info =P About the name, IIRC the final hardware was released as Super 32x in Japan.
