So I've been actively buying and reading the comic since World's Collide, and I just want to try to make sense of all the collections, editions, etc. If someone could clarify with me, it would be much appreciated. Sonic Archives: Normal, original "Sonic the Hedgehog" comics. Starts with Issue #0. Upcoming release of Vol. 24 will bring us to Issue #91. Sonic Saga Series: Begins when Ian took over at Issue #162. Contains the main plots of the comic since then. Upcoming release of Vol. 7 will bring us to Issue #194. Sonic Genesis: Standalone release of Issues 226-229 (with the end/beginning of 225+230). World's Collide: Standalone release of Issues 248-251 (along with Sonic Universe 51-54 & Mega Man 24-27) Sonic Graphic Novel Series: Begins with Issue #259, and the upcoming Vol. 2 will bring us to Issue #259. So we've got 3 currently ongoing published books spanning 3 "eras" of the books. Original, Ian, and Present Day. In addition we have "side-story" collected works: Knuckles Archives: Collects the 32 Issue Mini Series. Currently up to Vol. 4 bringing us to Issue #21. Volumes 5 and 6 are currently MIA. Sonic Universe: Runs (mostly) concurrent with the normal Sonic comic as Universe is printed. Next release of Vol. 8 will bring us to Issue #32. Sonic Select: Mainly printing the Specials, One-Shots, and other stories that don't fit with the main comic story. Next release will be Vol. 10. In addition, Sonic X and Sonic Boom had/have their own series and collected works. Sonic Legacy Series is the old "Archives" era books printed in large format Black and White. Currently at Vol. 4 (Digital only) up to Issue #74. Best of Sonic the Hedgehog prints assorted stories and fan favorites with no discernible order or theme between the books. Volume 3 is MIA but a "Ultimate Edition" is releasing soon. Sonic Super Special Magazine & Sonic Super Digest are magazine and digest format reprints of other old material. So that's all I've sorted out. Am I incorrect or missing any info? Appreciate the feedback. And on two side notes: I recently Tweeted Archie asking them if they'll do a second Universe paperback series that's up to date with the current comics. Akin to how the Sonic Graphic Novel Series is printing modern, post-World's Collide stuff. They replied stating "we hear you". Not a confirmation by any means but it'd be nice for the Universe books to not be literally years behind while the main series is getting up-to-date books. Also, I see listings of a Deluxe and Super Deluxe hardcover World's Collide collection, but no stock at any retailer, or any actual information on what's unique between the two. Most places are listing the release as November 2014, but with the paperback version listed for May, I'm guessing that's inaccurate. The question being though, are all of these sites just showing placeholder listings, or did the pre-orders already come and gone?

Sonic #268, my god I love it! just all of it. The AOSTH refferences, the little odd but cool cartoony artstyle, Honey's first appearance, everything. Fuck it derailing the Unleashed arc for a bit this is gonna be fun. Also Metal Sonic is a dick.

Oh, so the whole Wally thing was just an ass pull. I wondered if there was any rhyme or reason behind that. On an unrelated note, I loved 268. + - Interesting that they basically combined the plot of Sonic 2 GG with that Breezie episode of AoSTH. Loved every second of it though, and it was nice to hear a shout out to the name Dr. Robotnik for the first time since the reboot. That classic/modern young Sonic hybrid design is spot on though, seriously. Use it more often . Great issue all in all, it was funny too, a rare change of pace from the usual kick the crap out of everything issues. Eggman's tantrum phone call is the best thing ever.
268 is possibly the best issue of the new run so far. So much shit going on, so many shout outs, a ton of character revival, great character moments, the hilariously over-expressive art, everything.
Y'know, when I first saw Eggman yelling at Breezie, I was immediately reminded of the AoStH Robotnik. I mean, just look at him. I can even hear Long John Baldry's voice coming out of his mouth in that panel.
Agreed. I was definitely reading that in Baldry's voice. Actually I kind of was reading Classic Sonic's voice in Jaleel White's voice. His personality there kind of reminded me of AoSTH. Also I love Bean. "I bet Tails counts cards anyway."
Same here. In fact, we might even say this whole issue felt like something from AoStH, just a little more SEGA-fied.

Actually, with 268's retro intro and with this new timeline, I would love to see Ian take on Sonic 3 and Knuckles in a Sonic Universe Arc. If he somehow could fit Snively, Coconuts, Grounder, and Scratch into that plot that would just be potential to be gold.

Spoiler The Fighters' arc continues to be great. There's another AoSTH/Sonic 2 GG Flash back featuring that game's Silver Sonic and they actually brought back Wes Weasley. Fantastic stuff. Also Bean beats Espio by basically fucking with him.
