Well, as far as your hack running on hardware, you only need to be concerned with that for my hardware award (and only for ROMs 2MB or less, of course). The rest of the contest is unconcerned with how the ROM runs on hardware.
Technical achievements alone only get you so far. If it has anything to do with the ROM you sent me, then you should use the rest of the time until the deadline to really spiff that up.
Thus the usage of the word 'hopefully' :P Right now I'm working on technical stuff, but once I finish my editor (god I hope I do), I can FINALLY show off whatever design skills I have. It might not be that great, but I'll never know until I try.
Also, I forgot to say - if anyone with a Tototek cart wishes to either take over my award, or assist me in judging, then hacks larger than 2MB can also be submitted for this award.

I forget, did you ever begin using a 60Hz system? Because if so, that's absolutely great. If not, then perhaps we can have two facets of the same award - one for PAL and one for NTSC (just in case there is something that causes a hack to run on one and not the other). If you're running 60Hz, then feel free to take over the whole judging process if you'd like, especially since you can test large ROMs.
Yeah I have an import SEGA Genesis, so I can easily take over the whole judging process, and am happy to do so Also as I have a TV tuner card I can take screencaps from hardware if they are needed for some reason.
I think I better get moving on this now. I've got to finish 2 layouts and some art off before I can even consider entering.
I need to finish my music, and then fix my double jump among other things... I can't be slacking off anymore. =\

Is there a way that I can become a pre-tester for some or a few people to sugest a few things to make there hack beter, unless Samantha thinks that would be cheating, then I'll go crawl back into my dark corner. :P
I think everyone entering already has testers and the like, just wait until the roms are all released for the contest and play them then.
