Wow, I will got attempt on it. Usually, it is necessary to got the hack's objective. I probably will need some help on it...
Hello my big friend! Go on hacking! You are an amazin hacker! I can't wait to play your new version of S1HL An HD remake of Sonic 1 Harder Levels Labyrinth, in game it's very beautiful. ^^
Viewing the image that Master Emerald posted, here are some preview from the next (and probably the last) version of Sonic 1 Harder Levels. Labyrinth Zone Act 1 and Act 2 with new background. It features the SMS bg of the Labyrinth Zone. Now the Green Hill Zone with improved sky and some changes on the foreground tiles.
I'm not sure what you did to those PNGs, but the quality in those images is terrible. Anyways the artwork edits you've done look awesome. The only thing I don't get is transition your doing for the color of they sky in GHZ. 1- Going from blue to white - Are you trying to go from a blue sky to clouds? If so I suppose it looks alright, but just not very detailed if the white is suppose to be clouds. 2- light yellow to orange - If you're doing a sunset/sunrise type of thing wouldn't it go from dark orange to a lighter color? example: http://www.aphoenix.ca/photoblog/photos/SunsetAtUcluelet.jpg 3- I like this a lot. It's like you're looking in the oposite direction of the sunset/sunrise where it's dark but getting lighter.

Looking snazzy! Do you plan on revamping the foreground art in any way as well, or are you just changing the backgrounds? Stuff like this makes dynamic tilesets worth it.
more than 10-hours editing the original bg tile by tile. Man, my working on it was much harder than the game is. Yeah, I plan to edit smartest details in the FG from the first levels actually, but the last levels will suffer a lot of differences in both BG and FG.
Very nice use of the Dynamic tileset system. It certainely seems to work in this case. Keep up the good work, I really enjoy Sonic 1 Harder Levels!
More new stuff. Backgrounds Mix: Click to enlarge Casino Night Zone Beta + Spring Yard Beta/Sparkling Zone graphics. #Total Credits and thanks for Mistergambit by the Sparkling Zone tiles and mappings. Suggestions, critiques and opinions are welcome.
Sorry for double-posting. But I'm posting here just to notice the fact that the hack was cancelled. I'm having a lot of problems that are turning the project to runs slower... I think I have other habilities that can be appreciated as much as the project was. Then I decided to cancel the hack. Thanks for all who have helped and worked on it in all this years. Here's the last hack's download
The amount of work and effort you've put into this hack, I'm stunned. It really is amazing, this hack appeals to me a lot, it's now one of my favorites. Excellent work, I'm left speechless =P
So, flicking through the sound test to see the quality of the ports you've done. And I'm impressed! Full S3 DAC among other things, I'm guessing. The Ristar and Moonwalker ports are great, and well done on the Hybrid Front. I'll give reports on the level design soon, I'm still enjoying these songs
This hack certainly is awesome. The layouts are a fun challenge and the music is fantasic, then again we did talk about this earlier on MSN. Anyway, great work.
Most songs are either ripped out of megamix or ported yourself. But still causes an unoriginal soundtrack. :P
Wow, I love this! The sheer degree of things changed is pretty impressive in and of itself, but the level layouts are fun to play through, the new art and palettes are extremely refreshing, and even the music selection—bar a few... "familiar" choices—is pretty sweet as well! I love your edits to percussion and the new DAC samples you've added; they really give a whole new feel to old songs, which I'm guessing was your goal. I combed through the sound test a bit and found what I assume to be unused music strewn about. I particularly liked your Door Into Summer modification—it made the original sound much better, and was a neat creative edit of the existing PWM channel layout. Nicely done! I also enjoyed your Hybrid Front ports, which sounded a lot better with your edited versions of the original DAC samples. A nice punch is just what they needed, I think. It's a true shame this project was canceled, because it has a lot of potential. You've come so far since your first release back on Sonic Stadium, and both the effort and skill poured into this hack truly show. You've gone a great job—I hope to see more works from you in the future!
