Nothing that concerns this place in the least.
Those drawings...ooh, I just love those drawings. I especially like Tiara's fighting pose.

No-ones said anything about the eyes. this is the earliest we have seen for sonic characters to have coloured eyes.

I might actually try spriting animals for once. This is great stuff.

Interesting... Tiara had a cane. I wonder if it was for show, or would she have attacked with it.

I just thought, isn't she similar to the character in that old Manga with the skeleton ship and everything?

I doubt Tiara was based on this comic... And by the way, that's Amy.

HXC, you are a wonderful person. I would do anything for you, except clip your toenails.

I've just read something pretty interesting. Apparantly Sonic X-treme had 3 different engines at one point, and some of us have actually played one of those engines without realising it. The first engine was apparantly just plain shit, and the 3rd one is the one with the sprites that we are familiar with. The 2nd engine used apparantly did feature 3D models. This engine was the NiGHTS engine, or more specifically, the Sonic Into Dreams unlockable in Christmas NiGHTS.

See if you can verify this, as I have read it in a few different places tonight.

Remember, the X-treme team was denied the rights to the NiGHTS engine. :P

Yeah I was just getting the point across that at one point 3D models were used in the development of Xtreme. I have to admit though, the Sonic Into Dreams unlockable was pretty poor, so I'm guessing that if they had carried on at those standards, the game would have been pretty shit anyway. I just wish the Japs would have kept out of it and just left the US team to do their job.

The Sonic Into Dreams unlockable has a minimal connection with Xtreme since it was a product of the minds on the all-Japanese NiGHTS team.

Wrong. I can't tell the full history, but on the saturn/pc, it went...

    1. The one with the sprites we see and the fisheye lense
    2. Chris Coffins Boss engine was addapted for the whole game.

They had the NiGHTS engine for 5 days, before it was taken back.

So, wait. I know the fisheye engine, and the engine that we see the most: Sprite Sonic in a 3D environment that plays like a checkerboard (the zones). So, I assume that same engine is used for the boss fights (fully 3D, with Sonic sprites)?

So, where did we see the 3D engine, and what was it used for? I know I've probably seen it, but I need some clearing up on on this issue.

Or have I got any of this correct?

    Wow... that boss. Just wow.

I suppose in size it could be compared to the Egg Golem, but that's amazing. I wonder where the weak spot is and how you get to it.

I'd say its weak point is its supremely limited vision - look at that head-dress. Big non-flying things are usually slow in the Sonic universe, so I'd guess that's what they'd be looking to get at.

Relating to an earlier Xtreme debate, Quickman, the models were definatly Xtreme ones
