Weren't there some hidden graphics containing the word "Casablanca" within the final ROM's ending text? I vaguely remember something like that...
Yes, the word "Casablanca" is in the credits text data, but not in the credits themselves (NOT USED 0 in the stage select). I wonder if Casablanca is the unofficial name of the team that did Chaotix... but then what about Tempo, which also uses SMPS with PCM extensions? I'd have to look at that later.

This includes a track without any vocals or glass breaking samples (I.e. Competition Menu). Furthermore, this was the only rerelease of the game that wasn't a port of the original. I think it's perfectly clear what MJ did. Thank you and good night.
Um, sure. You might notice that the link I provided has most of that information in it. I don't require convincing of anything.
I haven't seen this pointed out anywhere else ever before, so, might as well mention it -- apparently, all the Sonic Heroes characters got themselves some Advance-style sprites, even those that never appeared in those games, solely so they could be used for some crappy animated mouse-pointers found on the Heroes PC disc. Wonder if they originally had any more plans with them sprites, though it seems unlikely. :v If that was already known, eh, sorry.
There were also some sprites at Sonic Team's website for Tails in his mech (and possibly Eggman in his?), after Sonic Adventure 2 was released, but before Sonic Advance 2 was made, so I used to think they were going to be used in SAdv2. I remember they were featured in a Flash banner, but I don't think I saved it.
Holy fuck! I remember that! Eggman was drawn completely in profile instead of the 3/4 perspective, and was apparently only ever used for a "Back" button or something. I don't remember Tails, though. Or am I mixing things up. I think somebody ended up expanding it into a full-fledged sprite and submitted it to SFGHQ. Should still be there, at least.
Not to interrupt, because I'd love to see these Sonic Adventure 2 Advance series style site sprites, but I've been meaning to post something and keep putting it off... at least it's also Advance related. Oh yeah, and several of those Advance style cursor sprites also bear a resemblance or might even be edits of the Sonic Battle map sprites... guess we know what Big would look like in Sonic Battle? Sonic Advance 3's Sunset Hill Zone's an obvious nostalgia zone, and you'll notice all the enemies, at least according to a sprite sheet(haven't double checked) are based on old ones. Most of them are the usual fare that's been seen in other semi-modern games, flying shooting bee, bomb tossing monkey, as well as a mole in a metallic hole lie Sonic & Knuckles, which apparently also was an enemy type reused in Sonic Advance... but there's also a hopping frog enemy that, at least to me, reminds me a lot of an unused Sonic 2 badnik. Might be a stretch, but I can't remember any other Frog badniks that were like that, and I do remember some sort of unused Genesis series Sonic ice level concept used in one of the Advance games.
Those beginning vocal samples were re-used for the "Egg Breaker" and "Egg Dealer" boss songs in Shadow the Hedgehog so maybe that's what's up. YouTubes: SA2 EGGMAN Egg Breaker Egg Dealer
Not sure where to post this, but skip ahead to 17:35 All you YTPers have new material. You're welcome.
In Sonic Eraser, in normal mode, the game will keep throwing at you 6 different types of blocks... up to level 30, then it starts sending 7 different types of blocks. Yes, I raged when I saw that.
There was an ice zone in Sonic Advance, Sonic Advance 2, and Sonic Advance 3. The frogs he is referring to are the ones in Neo Green Hill Zone in Sonic Advance.
But only one ice zone with city lights in the background, like in the early concept, which is SAdv2's Ice Paradise.
Came across this today http://uk.gamespot.com/gba/action/sonicadv...elow%3Bthumb;86 It's a weird background, which seems like it's trying to give off the sense of different layers. If you look at the garbled mess, it looks like a sole volcano spewing green stuff which I assume is meant to be red. This sprite does not appear in the game at all.
