Sonic Generations - we still haven't played it

Someone just ripped some newly-uploaded character art from Sonic Channel.

Could it have something to do with an upcoming game? They're pretty nice renders.

 

they look good, but... aren't some of those renders old? I remember some of these from mario & sonic at the winter olimpics ... or at least, the poses are.

 

Some of them (Big and Knuckles) are from Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing, Robotnik is from the Sonic 4 promo art, Amy's is directly from Sonic Channel, and Rouge's is from Sonic 2006. Tails, Blaze, Metal Sonic, Shadow and Silver are all new.

 

It just hit me how long everybody's limbs are. At least Tail's, anyways.

 

Actually Rouge's is new. It's very very close to the 2006 art but there are differences.

Are you kidding? Axing these guys from the main series canon is a terrible idea. Do you know how many people enjoy these characters and how many sales they make?

 

We don't know if they are from the next canon Sonic game. They might as well be from the next Mario & Sonic game, or some other spinoff. It's also possible that they're not from an upcoming game at all.

Those new renders do look pretty nice. As said before, they could be from anything though.

 

Ok, those are some great renders, especially Metal Sonic, I wonder what could they be for.

Part of me wants to see Stardust Speedway Act 3 on the Unleashed/Colors gameplay if they do go with the anniversary collection rumor :v:

 

I must say that I really like those artworks (especially the Tails' and Metal Sonic ones) but when I saw Blaze, Silver, Shadow... I was like 'Oh no... this won't be a cool idea'. I was hoping for a Sonic, Tails, maybe Knuckles and Dr. Eggman exclusive title.

I hope we don't get any bad surprises.

 

My best bet is that these characters will be playable, albeit optional. Well, more so a hope than a bet. I do wish to play as Big at extreme speeds.
