Some tracks would let you turn around and do weird glitches including getting stupidly quick (a few seconds worth) times and things like that-
Theres quite a few issues with the game, actually. Not to mention characters like Shadow are almost untouchable since all characters achieve the same boost speed through powersliding, making the heavier characters effectively useless. I'll be thoroughly disappointed if this is nothing but a $50 patch.
This certainly looks interesting. I would definitely buy the game if they added Ristar and maybe Shinobi. I would also love if they added a track based of off Sonic CD(maybe Stardust Speedway).
The first video doesn't work for me and we on the SEGA forums pretty much made SUMO keep what is going on in the second video as they were going to patch it out. Something about flying characters being pretty useless otherwise or something. I've also never had a problem against Shadow (I use Alex Kidd).
The bike characters in general were a problem because they carried over the wheelie boost ability from Mario Kart Wii (which was broken in that game) with none of the detriments. Though honestly, Shadow leading the pack in multiplayer didn't bother me so much as 50% of all online races being in Whale Lagoon. That was torture. Also I'm almost certain at least one person will "OH GOD NO." me for this, but I'd honestly like Banjo to come back. I somewhat doubt it happening though. 360's not even on the list of platforms in that teaser quote, and now that we know why Banjo was in the game (Rare had vehicle models from a cancelled Banjo racing game that they weren't doing anything with) combined with Microsoft's new policy of having Rare on a ball n' chain it seems like it may've been a purely circumstantial thing anyway.
Well before someone get's a chance to OH GOD NO that, I'll chime in and say OH GOD YES. Mainly because Banjo is awesome, and I adored his inconsequential cameo in the game. Quite random perhaps, but still awesome. And that's the other thing. Banjo is plain awesome and anything to prove he's not dead is plus.
If ANYONE had Motobug as a Vehicle (reminds me of that wheel enemy in Kirby Air Ride actually, since it was usable) or as a character in itself, it would be insta-buy. Would be awesome.
Bringing up the question, would any of you be interested in a Retro ASR game day? I know Chimpo's tried this before with other games, but difficulties arose in timing and system use. But like, using the 360 or PS3 version to race each other with a pretty robust selection of courses. The thing is, I don't quite remember if people with Death Egg and Metal Sonic can let people without it join, so there's another possible complication.
I'd be in. I play it on occasion for 360, although I seem to win alot and that can be boring. Also just be sure you pick a time frame where everyone can participate.
I want that Sega Sanshiro prototype to become real. I also want Vyse and the Heresy Dragon in it (both have really easy All-Star moves). The Hornet, driven by whoever or no one at all, as long as it's there. NiGHTS as well, for the racetracks. :v: Shining Force characters like Max or Synbios is asking too much... I also want this to function as an expansion pack and to be backwards compatible (keep dreaming). Regardless of the outcome, I want it. I want it bad. :specialed: Driving a giant aquarium? About Shadow being overpowered, he is. However, he's also easy to knock off. Shadow corners better, but Ryo is tougher. IMO, Ryo is more overpowered, as it should be.
When I mean overpowered I mean BOOST..OVERTAKE...BOOST...LAP EVERYONE. Basicly he gets so far ahead that nothing else matter...XD
A series I would love to see represented in a Sega All Stars Racing game is Wonder Boy/Monster World. Something like Shion riding that pink dragon from Monster Lair (BTW, is it just me, or does it look like a Slowpoke with wings?), or Asha from MW4 on a flying carpet (even though the latter is even less likely to happen, because if memory serves, that game never really was released outside of Japan). Either way, this is all good news. I enjoyed the first game a lot, and thought it really needed more content.
I'd join on 360 but my disc drive is borked. And no, if you don't have Metal Sonic then you can't race with people who do and want to use him. If no one uses Metal Sonic or tries to race on Death Egg you are all good.
I wouldn't mind, say... Sketch Turner riding a paper airplane or a big-ass pencil or something. I'd dig some Comix Zone love but I have zero idea what kind of vehicle the character would use. As long as the All-Star move made use of Roadkill in some way, I'd be up for anything. Although, then again, if the choices of 3DS/Wii-U/Vita hold any weight, I'd imagine this new game might end up as more of a remixed/updated version of the original, ala those Saturn versions of the Virtua Fighter games.
