Sonic comics, stay like this and I might just want to keep following you again. I know I say this every time I see new issue stuff, but it's looking better and better; especially after looking at the past follies of the comics and looking now. Really entertaining stuff.
Is it bad that I'm not following the Sonic Universe series? I thought it was just side stories but now it looks like it actually ties into the main story also. O_O I might have some catching up to do...
The first issue of Sonic Universe had something to do with the main series. And then they did it again during the Iron Dominion arc. And now again. #197 would be a good place to start. But you should also read all of Sonic Universe.
I have to admit this has been a great SU arc. (will be picking up the issue tomorrow but anything with the battle lord is a-ok in my book :v: ) I really hope Tracy gets another stab at writing something again soon. Or even an Ian/Tracy story would work.
Yeah it is pretty bad. go catch up: http://www.youtube.com/user/SonicComicWorld ThunderPX, I started around #185. its a good place to start off. start reading Universe around #197. The enerjak arc just ended and its right before the iron dominion arc, but theres a mini Scorge vs. Sonic arc inbetween. For any stuff you don't understand: http://archiesonic.wikia.com/wiki/The_Archie_Sonic_Wiki
If you want him to start at #185 he'll have to read Sonic X #40 too during the Freedom Fighters Vs. Suppersion Squad arc.
Its no biggie since SX #40 has no ties with any arc it was going with. it was its own stand alone story to tie up the series. And the Freedom Fighters Vs. Suppersion Squad arc was boss. I loved craaaaaaazy amy and Scorge's superform.
Ehh, not really. Sonic X #40 is pretty unimportant. It's barely even given as much as a mention in Sonic Universe #1. You could skip right from Shadow's part in Sonic #196 to Universe #1 and not even notice you missed anything.
Using the Babylon Rogues as an excuse to bring back the Battle Kukku? Who hasn't thought of that? But they're actually doing it? This comic is starting to look a lot better than it should. I feel like I've said that two or three times before. Have I?
Just remember, the Babylon Rising arc is brought to us by Tracy Yardley. I like that Ian is giving him a chance to show his writing chops along with his art. At least we have a logical successor for when Ian eventually steps down.
The covers, the new artwork.. THIS. That's it. Subscription time. I'm afraid this is all too good to be true and that this is all gonna go back to normal sometime soon, but maybe not, you know. Maybe this really is a new turn for the Archie comics to be... good.
