okay, at this point I think WE need to design a proper New Genesis Console, sadly I know we wouldn't be able to due to lack of ability of buying the chips and producing it. it'd be awesome though :<
I felt like a bad person when the Level Clear music played. Other than the sound, it looks like it runs fairly decently, at least.
It feels like we are running on a PAL-esque system. Can anyone confirm if that is the case? Also that sound quality... hilarious. Sounds like they lowered all the sounds an octave.
Thanks for pointing out and naming all the buttons and even the fucking battery slot.... Jesus Christ.
oh wow that sound, it's terrible yet interesting. it's £8.89 at gamesbasement, lowest priced megadrive and sonic bundle ever? http://www.gamesbasement.co.uk/toys/gadgets/arcade-nano-mini-megadrive-sonic-gadgets-PD-8916.html
Hahaha. This half makes me want to get it just to play the games with a hilarious soundtrack. Drunk out the ass indeed! And the gameplay would be better that of Sonic Genesis GBA by far!
I lost my shit when he played Emerald Hill Zone and it went horribly out of tune. "Well the audio quality is... how shall we put it, a little bizarre."
Even so, that is ridiculously slow even for the (unnecessary) slowdown that comes with the PAL versions of those games.
The ROMs from that thing sound slower even on Kega... (well...at least the "SEGA!" does on the Sonic ROMs) If anyone is interested, someone on ASSEMblergames dumped the roms: http://www.assemblergames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=36212
Maybe they are reprogramed roms to require less power from the console, to use it on those maybe less powerful chips? Has anyone dumped those roms? I would be interested on them.
Not a very comfortable looking controller. I read all the comments and did not want to play the video. Glad I did from the sound of it. I can stand the ear-rape of some those clones. I've noticed a pattern with alot Mega Drives and Genesises after the model 3. That they usually sound bad and typically can't be fixed no matter how good you are at modding consoles (TmEE please prove me wrong on this).
That's not PAL, that's just awful. I have my lovely Model 1 Sega MegaDrive set up here and he wants a word with you.
