A strange title in Sega's sales reports

Discussion in 'General Sonic Discussion' started by crystallize, May 22, 2017.

  1. This Sega's financial report from 2006 says twice how they sold about 900K units of something called NDS Sonic Riders. What can it be? afaik Riders had a GBA counterpart but it was cancelled.

It's probably an error, Sonic Riders was not released until february 2006, while Sonic Rush was released at November 2005. It's probably Sonic Rush.

This. Moreover, the fiscal year listing of the game refers to "Sonic Riders" as as Nintendo DS game...which is obviously incorrect, as Sonic Riders never had a handheld installment (outside of the scrapped GBA version, but again, aside from that version of the game being scrapped, it was for the GBA as opposed to the DS; and as far as we know, no evidence about a DS installment in the works for Sonic Riders has ever been found either).

It's just a game listing error, nothing more to see here.
