Sonic Generations - we still haven't played it

I actually think I would have fainted if Classic jumped, making the old jumping sound, while Modern (fuck it, I'm abreviating them to those names) made the new sound, maybe even seeing whirly feet when they sped off.

Oh my God. I'm hyping this up for myself now!

 

I can't be the only one thinking the music used in this teaser is prolly just some stock music from Videohelper or some such, can I? It just doesn't give off a very genuine-Sega-music-kinda vibe, if ye ask me.

 

Well, it fits the trailer itself pretty well, but I doubt it's indicative of what direction the game's actual soundtrack will take.

 

It sounds about as SEGA'ry as this. It's bound to just be stock stuff.

Anyhoo, as much as unbelievable it sounds, I'm hyped. I know I'm late and stuff, but for some strange reason it took me some time to read this topic. -clears throat-

I was actually happy and stuff when I saw the lil' guy running there. Completely unexpected, and if my mom wouldn't have been at home then, I prolly would've yelled "HOLY SHIT" or something alongs those lines.

I'd say I'm dissapointed that I can't play this game because I ain't got one of those DRM-in-box things, but I'll rather wait until I see gameplay and stuff. I mean, Unleashed and Colours didn't look fun to me so far, even though I'll judge only after I get to play the game/-s.

Still, 's got me excited. owo

The surprise of Classic Sonic was ruined for me as this site was the tab currently selected on my browser and the post shown was OSM with his new avatar.

Having classic and modern designs together in a game is pretty cool, and as everyone else already stated, im hoping both classic and modern Robotnik/Eggman are too. As for the "whiteout" effect of Green Hill Zone, its more then likely just an effect for the trailer, but, it could also be a hint that the world shown isnt actually real. Didnt one of X-Treme's old storylines have Sonic thrusted into a virtual world? It's not out of the realm of possibility that Sega could've reused an idea like that, but I much prefer the Time Stones/Time Travel theory myself.

Looking greatly forward to what this game has to offer, but hopefully, the zones represented arnt mainly from Sonic 1 and 2, we somewhat already had that with Sonic 4 Episode 1.

If we end up playing through classic zones again, and they end up including Carnival Night Zone.....

They would end up including the Barrel.

I just can't help but think that Sega's use of Classic Sonic will be ascetic only, doing something for the storyline and not actually having an impact on the game play. Maybe I'm just being too pessimistic.

Best case scenario: classic Sonic teaches modern Sonic some old tricks, and Sonic does all the talking while classic Sonic keeps his mouth shut.

 

No, they couldn't possibly do this. My heart wouldn't be able to endure such a dream to come true. I need to stay alive in order to witness this game.
