Sort of, they are the personal project of Black Death one of the commanders of the Black Arms, he was killed in the SHTH sequel arc that was previous to this arc Eclipse took the project and landed on Angel Island to raise them. my guess its black arms DNA injected into wisps to make them compatible with black arms aliens, or in this case Eclipse since hes the last of the Black Arms kind.

That variant is actually pretty cool looking even if it is a little similar to the SALLY SLAPS SONIC issue's cover.

 

Both #267 covers looks bad.

I'm guessing Boom will have a third variant? Seems weird to call it a "Hero" variant if there isn't a second one.

 

Sonic Boom #1 is getting four variants that all connect to each other.

Hey, you got my Sonic Fighters in my Sonic Unleashed arc! can't wait to see the Warehog beat the shit out of everybody (and hopefully see Rocket Metal Sonic!)

Oh Snap! A AOSTH character, thats fucking mindblowing to see that.

 

The weird thing about the regular cover to StH and the Breezie cover is that the regular cover says part 1 of 4 and the Breezie variant only says 1 of 2. So, probably just an editorial error. Excited to see what happens though. I'll admit, I didn't read Waves of Change yet, so I have a bit of catch up to do with the comics, but the Werehog arc looks interesting. Can't wait to see what happens.

Hmm, more expansive? I wonder if they'll be getting other game properties and adding those to the mix.

 

Calling it now, the Emerald Spears will be the primary antagonists.

 

I also couldn't help but notice Mobius is still broken in that teaser image. Wonder if that'll factor into the plot.
