EDIT: Just announced on Spike TV: Nascar driver Danica Patrick is the secret character. Really. No Segata Sanshiro or Mario. I am sad.
EDIT 2: That image Sega posted? Yeah, that's what Danica's going to be driving in a Nascar race this November.

You know how Sega needed money in 2001 so they penned a deal with SOAP to feature their branding and shoe style in Sonic Adventure 2?

but if Sega is sponsoring a NASCAR driver... doesn't that mean Sega are forking out cash?

 

Mutual agreement: car gets sponsored, car is featured in game. It's a two way street.

Odd use of money though, all things considered.

 

I'm as dumbfounded as everyone out there about this but I actually think it's awesome. Heh, at least if I don't have Blaze Fielding from Streets of Rage in it, Danica will be close enough :lol:

 

Oh and as an added word, now there is no excuse to not add Hank Hill.

Well at least with a "realistic" racer the only excuse they have for not having the Hornet in now would be redundancy.

Meanwhile Microsoft seems content to pretend Banjo never existed anyway, so I'll just go cry in the corner.

 

I think perhapse this car might just have a switchable "Hornet" colour scheme

 

Wait how can a realistic car with a realistic person be in a game with cartoony characters in cartoony transforming cars I mean will the car transform into a realistic boat or something? >:9

Although damn those screenshots look nice, I like Beat's new ride there.
