Just to ask, is there any way to get Casino Night Pinball on the PC version? I bought the game on Steam AFTER it was released and well, I guess I have to wait for it to be released as DLC?
We all do. The DLC hasn't been released for the PC in any fashion. However, the DLC tab shows up in its properties menu on Steam, implying that DLC is intended in the future.
No, the one I was missing was that one I believe, but he kept going on about the one near the entrance of the first factory. He also wasn't much help during Act 2 either - the only one he told me about was the one with the rocket shortcut, which I knew about and just needed to get. I was left to figure out the other one on my own.
The jumping in the game is fine. The bullshit comes from slowing down if you use the spin jump. It's a tremendous improvement over the last game.
So, can ANYONE with the PC version get to Online mode? I can't understand why the hell this refuses to work.
I play online more than anything else. I also compete with several people on my friends list in 30-second trials and I LOVE speedrunning.
I destroyed you all in casino night. I took a picture because it wont let me screencap. My true score is well into the millions. It stops at 999999 though. I had 9 extra lives that I let waste just to get to the results screen.
I have no clue why it crashes for me. Sometimes I can get to the stage select in Time Trial, but it'll crash as soon as the loading screen comes up. I assume you're using a firewall and antivirus? I disabled mine and it still did it. I started a new save, verified my game files, nothing's working. If anyone wants to take a crack guess at this I'm open to ideas.
I spent about two hours' worth of time trying to S-rank it; the first cannon glitches you a little too far forward, so when you try to jump for the balloon, you're in front of it and you miss the shit out of it. You have to do a couple little hops to get the game to put sonic back in the center (depth-wise) of the platform. Aside from that, everything else is really finicky; when I try slowing down before a spin dash, the game makes me face the opposite direction 1 millisecond before I start revving it up, so I've just shot off in the wrong direction and have to reset. The rockets from the enemies can't be avoided unless you get to certain spots at JUSt the right time... if you take the cannon before the first rocket enemy at apx 42 seconds, you have to stay on the left balloon and you can wait for the electric field to activate twice, then jump to the middle balloon and BARELY avoid getting hit by a rocket. If you get to the cannon at like 36-38 seconds (spindash, jump at the ramp and cut out one balloon lift), then you have to jump off the left balloon early, attack the rocket guy, take the right balloon, then bounce on top of the middle balloon toward to the -10sec item. The blasters at the end are a slap in the dick, too, because there's no concrete way to avoid them, just pray that you have at least 1 ring and are hanging onto the balloon when they shoot you. (I did eventually get S rank at least, 1:59.17 NEVER AGAIN) All of my hate. Worse than the one in Speed Highway where you have to shine the spotlight on espio- the game's homing attack priority really shines there.
might as well do that one next. Something tells me it wouldnt be as difficult if there weren't fucking scaffolding and boxes blocking EVERYTHING in the camera's sight...
Am I the only one who actually liked those missions, let alone most of the missions in the game? The Vector one is a little unforgiving, but I thought it was fun, it reminded me of something out of Banjo-Kazooie. I found the balloon one to be a nice change of pace too, it was really difficult but I liked the challenge.
I liked a lot of them so far... but for some reason, a handful of them have been disproportionately FUCKING BULLSHIT or just really buggy. - The one where you have to race Cream and collect more chao than her.. starts off fine then all of a sudden she's going like four hundred miles an hour. I'm motherfucking SONIC THE HEDGEHOG, that dumb twit shouldn't be beating me. - the one with Rouge where you have to stun the enemies with hearts was a pile of dicks because there was no rhyme or reason to whether or not the robots would get affected It's like someone at sega said "let's put in a few totally bullshit ones just to fuck with people" Of course, that doesn't account for the sloppy game engine and its shortcomings, but whatev Well whaddaya know, this one with Vector IS retarded. I get what I assume to be halfway through the red notes at around 51-55 seconds, and by then things are going too fast for the game engine to respond quick enough. Can't believe I'd actually prefer the Sonic Adventure camera in this one instance lol aaaand S-rank. That balloon one was still the worst thus far lol
