It's now only available as part of the Sonic Generations Collection bundle, so it just lists the price of the full game.
I never bought the Casino Night DLC and it says I have it installed, so I'm pretty sure just everyone got it.
Yeah, if you own the game you got it now, if you don't own the game it's $20 to get it and the download includes the DLC; the DLC and the base game cannot be purchased separately
I can't run this game anymore for some reason. It keeps saying the configuration does not match my current hardware, when every thing is fine and I even double checked. So I uninstalled the game and then re-installed it and it didn't work. What do I do?
Happens to me ALL THE TIME. Go into the steamapps->common->sonic generations folder and delete the three config files there, then re-run the config tool. That should fix it.
Happens whenever I update my GPU driver. Going into the configuration tool, reselecting my graphics adapter and saving fixes it for me.
I did some digging and found that 99% of the time its how the game handles Nvidia drivers. That solution always works for me, but I've read that it goofs with some people. Just confirming that this solution works if that wasn't obvious.
If it keeps happening again, then obviously the game is overriding those .cfg, corrupting it. Would Steam allow them to be set to read-only to prevent that bug? Though if you do set it to read-only, then you would need to set it off read-only if you want to save your settings in-game.
If you got a Steam Controller, or a Dual Shock 4 (which, from the perspective of Steam, is now also a Steam Controller) then this is no problem - just set the configs to their defaults and make them read only. If you want to reconfigure things, just do them through the Steam side of things. No fuss at all, plus your controller configurations will persist through re-installs and corruptions.
I hate to bump this topic, but I was wondering three things. 1. Would it be possible at all to get this game running on PC at an unlocked frame rate? Or would that cause problems in other aspects of the game? 2. How do you consistently get the shortcut at the beginning of Modern Chemical Plant where you hit an orange ring, and then you have to light speed dash on some rings or else you fall in a pit? It's been years and I can't hit that orange ring consistently to save my life. 3. I also still don't know the criteria for the "Can't Touch This" achievement. I got it on 360 a long time ago, but is it not hitting anything which includes debris? Is there an easy way to get this achievement or just a lot of trial and error?
1. I've not heard of it being done or even attempted? I don't think it's possible but I'm welcome to being proved wrong. 2. There really is no special trick for this, you just have to work out how fast you're hitting the little platform before jumping and boosting through the ring, and what angle you're jumping off it. Just takes good reaction time - alternatively, if you have speed skills equipped, you can grind the left-hand rail on the main path and jump off just before it cuts into a corner, then boost down to the light speed dash rings without using an orange ring. 3. You literally can't hit anything, including debris. Takes a lot of attempts. Good luck.
Ok, one last thing. Does that include bouncing off the cylinder that you're flying in? I bumped the edge of that and assumed that counted as a hit and restarted. Still haven't gotten it. Thanks for the rest tho.
https://gamebanana.com/mods/406602 Thoughts on the "Gameplay Improvement Mod"? It adds things like adventure style turning control and less air drag on Sonic's jump. I also captured some Unleashed Project gameplay footage of it, complete with a gamepad viewer for convenience, if you're too lazy to play it yourself. It makes Sonic very unwieldy at high speeds... You actually have to use the drift to turn less sharply, which seems kinda backwards.
I can’t tell how it plays from the footage too well, but it was a very clean run. I may give it a try but I much prefer learning how a specific game works over some modder’s personal preferences. I typically stick with restorative mods or ones that add new features. That being said, I am looking to buy and mod a 360 just to play 06 with the mod loader tweaks and Legacy of Solaris so I guess I just don’t like using my PC lol.
