Geez, this game looks out of my computer's league. Sonic Generations in 8 FPS is going to be awesome. :v:
So in case anyone is worried about computers with low specs, I have a report from someone with slightly less than minimum specs:
Sounds good for me then. I'm just a few ticks above minimum. That said, I think I'm fine with just my console version for now.
1.8ghz Core2Duo ATI HD4670 1GB 3GB DDR2 Really shitty specs, but I run it at a decent speed, about 30fps with some stutter sometimes at 1440*900.
I... What. what am I reading The most baffling thing is that he felt Colors was better than Unleashed, and Colors already had the platforming he's complaining about, possibly even more than Generations does. And how is Modern Sonic any slower than he was in Colors? Also, Danger days? What?
Not the same here. However, what I wasn't expecting was to read anything lower than a 7/10. That boggles my damned mind. I can't believe some of the critics were outright lying, let alone not even knowing what the hell they were talking about instead of talking about problems that legitimately exist ingame. Considering how much critics loved Sonic 4, I expected the same love out of this. I mean, the franchise is legitimately in the best condition it's been in in years. And that just serves to remind me of how shitty the last decade was. It would just be nice if the critics admitted that this actually was better than the shit we dealt with before... even if it does "canonically" end in the gutter.
Okay. I waited FOUR FUCKING HOURS for this shit to download. Steam decrypts it, then DELETES HALF OF THE GODDAMN CACHE. WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS SHIT.
He be trollin ya son! :v: Where did you read this? Uploaded by PaperSonic2007 on Oct 18, 2011. its old. Relax guys I already told him he says he is making another for the contest. this was just to show off.
FIRST MOTHERFUCKIN' PLACE BITCHES Also apparently I'm European now. I guess Canada moved (or the PC version isn't built to recognize any other regions). Now to start beating my own time. After that I'll try something harder than Green Hill.
Got the PC version. Not bad so far, but Modern plays like absolute shit on my laptop, no matter what resolution. Switched to the smallest resolution and of course fonts and lettering looks like crap, with no apparent change even when anti-aliasing is turned on. I wouldn't mind being able to change the frames per second. Not ideal for Classic, I know, but it'd have to do. After playing Modern Chemical Plant the next cutscene started lagging so bad I had to skip it. I'll have to try playing again tomorrow without messing around with audio programs beforehand. :specialed: I'm not the least bit surprised at the PC's configuration options. I'd kinda hoped it'd be possible to disable a background layer or two. Admittedly I'm one of the apparent few that thinks, though gorgeous in screenshots, when in motion there's a bit too much on-screen for me to clearly focus. All that said, if I can find an ideal compromise to have it running smoothly, I can tell it'll be a blast to play.
Woooo! 8th for Greenhill act 2 on pc! http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197969580870/screenshot/649870345853379324?post_id=100000609517482_171710116251812#_=_ That is good enough for now. I can't stay up all night playing this...or can I?
