Welp, I beat it already. The main story. Fun as HELL. I still have a shitload of missions to do, but what I've played I really, really liked. I want more.
Speaking of shields, is there a way to unlock the insta-shield? I wish it were part of the standard classic moveset but I guess they figured people would never use it (I would).
I plan on getting the PC version. I meet the requirements (4 gb ddr2 ram, 2.7 dual core) but the graphics card is sketchy. I have a semi-lousy nvidia G210 (512 mb)... does anyone know if I'll be able to play the game with that at a decent framerate, even if I keep the resolution low? (assuming they have that option... please god, the HD craze is going to be the end of me)
The PC requirements already came out, but its not enough for me to know. I ask hoping someone with more technical knowledge than me can answer.
Fucking LOVING this. Hung around Green Hill and completed all the challenges and red rings. I have nine hours between now and class, and I know I'll be playing this the whole damn time. xD
I'm buying the pc version regardless. besides, If I can customise the sound track I'm inserting Game Gear music. (What can I say? I grew up with the system and loved the sonic series on it.)
Launch Trailer. Trash if shown already. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=MZOXofQ5Wms
I have finished up planet wisp both classic and modern, I gotta say I'm very satisfied and impressed with this game. The 3d platforming can take a little bit to get used to though with the way the controls work at first. Once you get the hang of it though it almost feels like a happy combination between Sonic Adventure/Sonic Adventure 2 and Unleashed/Colors. I'm in love with every zone but so far I think Chemical Plant, Rooftop Run and Speed Highway are my 3 favorites so far. The challenge missions are equally fun and engaging as well. I kinda felt like they might play sort of like an afterthought but they were all very unique and enjoyable. The only bad thing I can think of is that the rival fights and bosses are way to easy even for a Sonic game. Hard Mode does add some challenge but it isn't really much. All in all I feel that most of the reviews are about spot on with their scores. My personal score would probably be an 8.5, It does still have some issues but all in all if the series keeps improving on the current gameplay style I have no doubt it will be on top again one day in the future.
For anyone who wants to see, a video of the Casino Night DLC Stage: Spoiler http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uo9SNZnUnQs
Thank god! It's like an actual pinball machine! It's definitely a step up from Sonic Adventure Spoiler fucking wordfilters, can't say the p word anymore
Oh wow. I mean it's not like we ever use the word physics outside of the context of a blue hedgehog Same here, although I have a GeForce 7950GT. I wasn't too worried at first, but it's starting to crap out with some recent games and Sonic PC ports aren't exactly known for being very well-optimised.
The pinball minigame looks like a good time waster, it's a wonder why they didn't include it in the first place. Well I guess it's not that bad, Sega isn't at Capcom level regarding DLC just yet.
Ah. I wasn't aware that people were even complaining about pinballs. By the way, I noticed that 1-Up jingle from SA1 is still in the music rip. Is it actually used in-game now, or does it still play the 20th Anniversary Chaos Emerald jingle?
Well from what I can tell the pinball minigame is a Gamestop pre-order exclusive and like others have said, I'm not sure if Sega will actually be selling the unlock code seperately or not. So it isn't even close to being as bad as Capcom. Man I still love hearing that remix of Casino Night it's just so smooth and energetic, I love it!
Some guy wanted me to take on Flying Battery Zone to replace the tune there, so I did. http://www.sendspace.com/file/aktc12 It's a sendspace link, since although I'd use mediafire at this point, that's going lol atm, so you're stuck with this. Since I have no idea what format you guys need it to be, it's in my usual mp3 format for now. If ya need it in a different one, I can try to get it into that format for you. Hope the tune's okay enough, and if you have any other requests, tell me, ok? :v:
That guy would be me and that was awesome. I really hope Flying Battery comes out as a DLC stage, that'd make this game perfect for me. I'll be off to get the game in a couple hours, hopefully somewhat avoiding this topic and not clicking those spoiler tags pays off. :v:
That's actually really neat. I hope I didn't pre-order too late, it'd be really nice to not have to wait for exclusivity to run out. EDIT: Oh, quick question for those of you with the game. Does it allow only one save file per Gamertag/PSN ID, or does it have multiple saves a la Colors? I'm just curious.
