Ooh it's a Zone hub and it looks pretty nice., Also, the S ranks seem like they will actually do something in this game since they have their own counter! I also love how Eggman has a Disco ball room in one of those screens.
Oh, I see... that seems... unnecessary. I mean they're all right next to each other and seemingly have no ground in between them. Anyway, look who's back! It doesn't make it completely obvious but those are those things from unleashed that you chased, once again in a different skin. As I said, I don't like this in level design (doesn't let you backtrack and kinda ruins the pace) but I like the reference. Jesus there are a LOT of cutscene images here, as well as images of new levels: http://www.gamekult.com/images/J000103827/p3/ I know it was already posted but no one seems to be commenting about them. You know what? I don't think you can actually move in these hubs. You just beat the level and you can move around like a mario map. Gravity time:
Wow, a Mario hub. That's actually pretty interesting. Looks a bit weird, but I'll probably get used to it. Besides, for the main story, I'm probably going to use the Egg Shuttle to do the levels in order, which I've heard that's what it's for. But one complaint I do have is that still, no single QTE scene so far shows anything but mashing A. Also it's funny, I never noticed the wisps in capsules were just sprites. Even in the end level capsule! Also, multiple goal rings in a single level confirmed- there are two goal rings in the same area in this screenshot, hang rails (instead of grind rails) leading to them both. I wonder if more stages will have things like that? That'd be interesting if there are alternate goals hidden somewhere else in stages besides the main goal.
Thank goodness, I thought the red rings had to be collected within the level in one playthrough like in Advance 2.
Holy shit called it. I can't find the quote but I said "those 20 hours need to come from somewhere, my guess is having second exits in levels after you get more wisps".
EDIT: Look out! He's going to TURN AROUND if he gets to far ahead of you, *gasp* O the horror! Considering the number of games that actually do this, I'd say it's a lot more than simply "possible."
So I just read a few pages ago about a Super Sonic discussion, and thought of something... Hyper Sonic anyone? I know that it might sound ridiculous, but still.
It'd fit well with the "colors" name. :v: Also might add for some more re-playability. Just hope the special stage doesn't suck.
A Neon, Egg-Fleeteqsue level and MOTOBUG?! This game...THIS GAMEEEE. C'mon November, you can get here faster than this!
From what I understand from French, which it isn't much since I only have a few months under my belt, there's nothing awkward about the cutscenes. http://cdn.cnetnetworks.fr/gamekult-com/im...001310851_2.jpg 19 rings, close to 20, must be that number per drop. http://cdn.cnetnetworks.fr/gamekult-com/im...001310893_2.jpg that's a really funny position to be caught in. http://www.gamekult.com/images/ME0001310896/ A 3D loop? This was rare in Unleashed. I don't think there was another shown before. The first page of the screenshots is the one that contains most of the interesting things.
ET UN MILKSHAKE He looks kinda demented there...but I can't take it seriously with "Cheeseburger" and "Milkshake" under him.
I was going to translate the cutscene images using my 3 years of French, but Core beat me to it so here is his translation: <!--quoteo(post=203800:date=23 September 2010 - 03:49 AM:name=Core)--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Core @ 23 September 2010 - 03:49 AM) </div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->Ooh, awesome!! And I didn't know there would be individual maps for each world; they're nice! Translation of the cutscenes stuff, as requested: http://cdn.cnetnetworks.fr/gamekult-com/im...001310853_2.jpg Welcome to Eggman's great interstellar amusement park, http://cdn.cnetnetworks.fr/gamekult-com/im...001310854_2.jpg He likes to hear himself talk, but I have to admit that this place is incredible. http://cdn.cnetnetworks.fr/gamekult-com/im...001310857_2.jpg has absolutely nothing to do with an evil plan or premeditated act. http://cdn.cnetnetworks.fr/gamekult-com/im...001310858_2.jpg Yihaaa! Move, little aliens! (this must be Cubot in cowboy mode) http://cdn.cnetnetworks.fr/gamekult-com/im...001310880_2.jpg Need to connect the framistatic condenser to the optimization modulator... http://cdn.cnetnetworks.fr/gamekult-com/im...001310884_2.jpg Twenty-three... Twenty-four... He says his name is "Yakker" and he comes from a distant soda (huh, soda?)[/QUOTE]
Hey, Eggman's still using that Eggpod with the Dreamcast in it. Also, there needs to be another sandwich scene. As for the Motobug, that definitely looks better than the raped version in Sonic 4...only bigger. Needs more giant enemy crab. =P
This game.. THIS GAME... This... Okay, I'm poised to purchase this game now. This may as well end up being what Unleashed failed to be. Still not the Sonic game I'm wanting but DAMN... How can you not like what we've seen so far aside from linearity?
