Does this mean I can enter my SMPS/Voice editor? It IS technically an S1 hack, and runs on Megadrive/Genesis Emulators =P

I WOULD like to see the full version finished, but if you could get out a finished rom version before then, that'd be nice too.

 

I simply feel there's not enough content in the utilities that can be ranked subjectively; it's actually possible in the case of most hacks.

 

Controversy will always happen, though. For example, Sonic Boom. Half of the forum says it's the most awesome thing ever done, the other half of the forum says it's a piece of crap. And I bet there's someone out there who doesn't like Megamix, or someone who likes Oergomized. Well no the last example was a bit too much, lol, but still, you get the point.

 

And I say it's both. :v: Brilliant in terms of innovation, but I'd rather play Sonic Advance 2's Sky Canyon Zone.

 

Is one person allowed to submit multiple hacks?

Assuming SATSEE gets to release 5 and I get some decent work done on S3C, I'd really like to enter both of them.

Also, if I entered S3C, would the default ROM be judged, or would a patched one (based on your preferences, see the topic on it to know what I'm talking about) be? If the former, I'd have to submit a pre-patched version instead, because the default one would miss out a lot of big additions I intend to make.

In the beggining of the year, my teacher told us to write down on a note what grades do we want to improve when the first 2 1/3rds are over and then give the note to him. In those long 2 1/3rds I improved so much, and guess what? I improved almost everything that I wrote down on that note. It actually worked.

So I thought, maybe I would write here the list of my desired trophies, and when this contest is over, I could look at what skills I did improve and what I have yet to work on.
And it will be great If you write down comments too, unless you don't want to spoil your hack.

Thanks to Animemaster's art skills, my ghz might get this. So will my crappy super special awesome art skills.

Thats if my art will suck, I will have to copy from other games.

I might try and put some funny ass cutscenes.

My hack could be unique, despite the fact that I barely even show new updates.

Those 4 above: My level layout skills might be lame, and it might not give you similarities
of classic sonic games levels, but my new city/casino levels will be hard and long. I drew concepts of the city zone
a while ago as some of you may have seen on creative works (and yet no one commented about them )
And 4 concepts I've been doing will most be on the first act, but then spread into the next 2 acts.

A few objects I will add to those city levels might win, as well as generally custom objects.

This might be in question. Maybe I will add Big, to compete with Aquaslash *runs*

Believe me, those new enemies would be really unexcpected.

My asm skills aren't really that great, but I could create some nice bosses If I wanted to.

Act 1 of some levels would be a bossless level, while act 2 has a miniboss (an edited enemy actually) and act 3 with a boss.

Hey, I haven't submitted a hack to Retro yet, let alone into the SHHC, but I'm working on one at the moment. If it's finished in time, I'll submit it, otherwise, I won't.

I don't know why, but I just feel like I have (at least good) chances to get this trophy. No direct reason.

Last year my main hack was just one of those "cheapoes"; spindash, peelout, jumpdash, new palettes, cheap level layouts. Just that while my current version is way more unique, completly crazy ASM ideas (while crazy doesn't directly mean they are always good) and lots of more new stuff.

As far as I know, snkenjoi's hack was the only "worst hack" yet, so I should have chances with my thing.

Has anyone else the direct need to win this trophy using his stolen content hack he made back in August 2008? No? Then I should have no problem getting this thing. =P

It's obvious that I like misc trophies. (Note: You need to find out yourself what hacks I'm talking about, they are all somewhere on the internet...)

 

Hmm well let's see. I'll probably be going for:

rusty ruin - because it'll probably wind up being the only 3d hack.

1000101 Trophy – I already have completely custom, 100% new geometry in rdx now. Just working on polishing that up.

hidden palace trophy - won't happen but hey its nice to try

super duper level trophy - If I can implement my new new ice cap in time, maybe.

 

The Rick Roll trophy was my idea because I thought that it'd be an awesome idea to poke fun at sonichackman who submitted a hack with stolen content and since he was annoying the fuck out of everyone with his beta leaks it wouldn't be fair if we didn't leave him out. Also so I could play the song itself.

Talking of the podcast planning stuff, don't expect sound effect overuse. I'm going to be making sure that the podcast doesn't last ridiciously long (2 hours was overkill), discussion is made shorter and we have a plan of what we're doing. =P

As for me, I think I have no time to make a decent hack so it looks like another joke hack for the Shadow Trophy again. =P

 

Genocide City Trophy.

Anything else is an added bonus.

I like the fact there is competition for this trophy, however. I eagerly await.

 

Shouldn't there be a Best Super/Hyper forms trophy? And the best sound effect trophy (it might be a bit lame though)

 

I like long levels, so if revelations gets back it might fit into this one.

I'd like this to be one of the trophies to aim for, making it like an original sonic game would be awsome.

I enjoy boss hacking, all though I'm not very good I'd hope to produce one awsome boss.

Since my last release of rev wasn't a good release, I think the next will be alot better so its possible I could get this.

And I proberly fail at achieving any of these, but hey doesn't hurt to try.
