Ducktales and SA2. I love you, Internet. And fuck me, but I'm probably going to put this on my MP3 player to listen to recreationally.
Made this one based on a song that a couple of my internet buddies posted a couple hours ago for Sonic's 21st Birthday. (Warning: Ponies.) EDIT: Replaced the video with a Remastered version I just posted.
I love the Internet. Oh if only there were a YouTube link out there... Now, you guys know of Crush 40's Sonic Youth? Came out last week, right? Well... Someone already made a mash-up out of it. Sonic Youth and Faraway Avalon. Quite lovely!
I knew this was going to happen so I didn't say anything at all! It's a perfect fit! I'm not to keen on that Gaga Remix though. Although it sounds very clean and not too off key, it still doesn't sit right in my ears. I hope everyone knows about the 3 extra notes in the bassline for Carnival Night Act 2....it was the only thing that was added that made it different from Act 1 minus the portions that was "removed" to make it sounds more empty.
So... are you guys familiar with Kumikyoku Nico Nico Douga? Those of you who don't know of it might know of it indirectly through an Automatic/Custom Super Mario World stage: the entire thing had Mario (with no player input) and the stage going along according to the music. The medley itself is a massive 11 minute mash-up/remix consisting of a bunch of anime and video game tunes. Plenty of remakes of this track have been made as a result of its earworminess. Kumikyoku isn't the only version of "Nico Nico Douga" music out there, but it is one of the most predominant and renowned of its kind. A webpage full of these things here. Imagine my surprise when someone mashed it up with a bunch of Sonic themes. Enjoy!
Wow, that rapper is so shit that he had to use a Sonic and Knuckles sound effect as an easter egg to make money. All that is wrong with music these days = That link. My ass could make better sounds and lyrics for all I care.
