    Guy's I need help.

I am finding that my USB drive has a threat on it as Worm/Generic.BDZW. The file name is e:\DCT\J\Mip.exe, , but it is showing me that it does not exist or it's not in a dictionary. man, that's effed up. Anyways how do I remove something that's not there, and more importantly, how did it get there?

If you have got anything not worth saving on your USB stick. Just format it. By the way be wary of anti virus programs giving you false positives. You can end up deleting something that can be critical to running programs.

Try booting from some linux live cd and delete that file.
These viruses get copied to your usb stick when you plug it in on a infected Windows PC, I think.
They start to annoy me, because when you delete it, and then plug it back to a infected Windows box, it gets rewritten..
I'm not sure if this is what I think it is, but you could try..
    good luck :B

No executable on a flash drive would be vital to running programs :V Yeah, I'd go with format though windows, if that doesn't work (why wouldn't it....) then grab the gparted live cd and format it with that.

The point I was making was that anti virus programs can give off false positives. Not that an OS is dependant on a USB stick. I thought that would have been obvious to anyone and didn't need explaining.

Yeah, I got that, but don't go implying that a false positive on some executable on a flash drive could be an issue :P

If you have ever torrented cracked programs. EXE files can contain stuff like keygens built into them. These are viewed like trojans buy anti virus software because they hack the software while you install it.

I just did battle with a worm not too long ago. Got on my flash drive, mp3 player, and HDD camcorder. I'd run a flash disinfector to get whatever it is off the drive, then run MalwareBytes to get it off the computer, otherwise, you'll keep getting infected. If the flash disinfector doesn't work, Avast! antivirus has a flash scan also.

    Hope this helps.

Again, I understand, but I don't see why you have to bring that up if it's an exe on a flash drive. It's obviously nothing important, so no reason to bring something up that might scare some idiot that doesn't know what they're doing.
