Planet Sonata Act 1's music isn't bad, but it just makes me feel weird in some way I'm unable to explain. :P

 

I like it too but it's getting really annoying when you have to hear it so much when you're Super Sonic.

I completely agree with this.

 

I notice no one has said anything negative about the JP/EU Sonic CD soundtrack. Because "TOOT TOOT SONIC WARRIOR" is just so happy, who cares about the cheesy lyrics that have been sung a thousand times in J-Pop believing in yourself and doing anything YEAAAAAH!

 

Actually, I can't stand that song. Some of the JP music is good, and I actually like the JP Palmtree Panic Present better than the US version, but I do not like that song. For Cosmic Eternity, the lyrics ruin it for me.

And I don't understand all the Bad Religion hate. Don't judge the song by relating it to Sonic.

Me too ^^ Although I prefer the SK's one as a main theme for the game.

However, I prefer the S2 version the most and it's different to the games invincibility music.

 

That's because the JP/EU OST is better. xP Although, I like "Sonic Boom" better than "You Can Do Anything".

 

The part of Too Too Sonic Warrior I don't like is actually the embarrassingly bad 90's rap at the beginning. The actual "Toot Toot" part is pretty good.

 

Sonic Boom is not a bad music at all, to a point, but it's lyrics annoys me. Neither I dislike S3 invincibility jingle, it's annoying because, well, everyone already pointed why.

I don't hate Bad Religion. In fact, they are in the list of the band I like the most. But, something is certain, I hate this I could go supersonic music. I simply can't stand it. But it's a personal thing really. I don't relate it to Sonic. I simply don't like it in any way, ways before it begun to be used as background music in everyone's fan-character's music videos at Youtube. In fact, that made me hate this song even more.

And for the record, "Infected" is my Bad Religion favorite!

 

I actually like "Supersonic". I've been using it as a 'theme song' for my Chaotic Reign character Thomas Sparx, who is, naturally, pretty damn fast. Actually, just all-around hyper.

Emerald Hill Zone (2P)

Aquatic Ruin Zone, Hill Top Zone, Metropolis Zone, Wing Fortress Zone.

You know, out of the genesis Sonic games I'd say Sonic 2 had the weakest soundtrack (besides mean machine and spinball). The only songs that really stand out are CPZ, Mystic Caves 1P & 2P, Casino Night 2P, and Oil Ocean.

Other very notable mentions:
Carnival Night, Bigs Theme from SA, Team Sonics theme from Sonic Heroes, It Doesn't Matter SA2, Believe in Myself SA2, All Hail Shadow EVERY VERSION, 7 Rings in Hand, etc.

 

WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA I do not agree at all, sources point to epic fail in my quotes.

Songs that suck: uh... Marble Zone is always been boring to me.

 

I'm not saying Sonic 2 doesn't have a good soundtrack, I mean, just compare it to the other games soundtracks though and it doesn't hold up. Sonic 1's soundtrack was a masterpiece from start to finish except for the final zones music. Sonic 3D Blast for the genesis had an amazing soundtrack too. Sonic 3 and Knuckles?

Sonic 2 just seems weak by comparison. (I think a large part has to do with the arrangements) That and I've had EHZ 1P pounded into my head so many times over the years that it drives me crazy now.
