Sonic cameo in Sim City 2.000 for Sega Saturn

Little update on this. I've used my AR cart for infinite money and built a city with 356 launch arcos, but the exodus sequence never happens, the arcos just launch on their own over time, as they do normally. In the game files, I saw no text relating to the Exodus sequences, so it may not be there (so I wasted 3 days for nothing).

According to the game credits, the Saturn versions were coded by Greg Kearney, Paul Kerchen, and Cort Oi. Anybody knows where to contact these guys?

edit: According to some sources, you need 301 launch arcos to trigger the sequence, while others state 351 or 450. At this point I'll have to bulldoze the entire map and fill it with nothing but arcos, to build any more.

edit2: oh, and I've still yet to see that Sonic statue.

 

I might be talking out of my ass here but I've played the mac version for over a decade and still do, does the porntipsguzzardo cheat work in other versions? The cheat basically unlocks everything aswell as giving you an instant $250,000.

 

I never played the game, but has the statue ever been seen by human eyes in the actual game? If not, could it be a possibility that the back of that game case is just using an outdated game build? Or, put Sonic there using an image editing software? Could always be a mistake, happens. You would think that, out of all the people who have played the game, someone would unlock it.

 

I remember it appearing in one of the pre-saved cities. It wasn't there at the beginning, one of the zoned just converted to it over time. It also had no tooltip animation.
This is from memory however. And the tiles in the game are compressed some way, so I can't check that either.

Is it possible that the picture is a mock-up?

 

The statue also appeared in screenshots released in the british Sega Saturn Mag, so either they used shots from a presskit, or the thing actually is in the game.

That statue has been bugging me for over a dozen years minimum.

 

Surely someone had the tools/ability to sift through the assets of the game and find the sprite for the statue?
