Ah crap, well this looks good apart from the Bubbles Chains™ popping up everywhere. And for that reason I probably wont buy it, I just feel they didn't want to listen there.
That made me really laugh. Oh please somebody show this to Ken, with some luck it might reach the people who need to see this. XD
Well, I know I love looking at any concept art we can get of the older games in the series. This might not be much to us, but perhaps future generations will find it at least a little more interesting... :v:
Sorry for change of current discussion but I just realized this: Eggman is using the Little Planet to POWER this new Death Egg! It his plan B (or C?) of sorts. For the time being he's given up on the master emerald. Think about it. It's the only thing that is bigger and more powerful/mysterious than the ME. Perhaps he will be using it to his advantage as Sonic did in CD, but in reverse. Maybe travel back in time ala Time Eater, trying to stop Sonic before he ever gets a chance to get in the way. He obviously fails at this attempt, but stays determined that this is the best method to rid himself of Sonic, which is why he keeps messing with time throughout the series.
I like how you completely ignore the point in the video when he specifically shows the rolling physics and how Sonic picks up speed when rolling down a hill. BUT HEY, WE CAN'T HAVE EPISODE 2 BEING ANYTHING MORE THAN SHIT NOW CAN WE?
Yea. We only want positive comments in this thread. Noone's allowed to say that they think the game is shit.
They can say whatever they want but at least they should have the decency to not spout outright lies.
Can you point out this "everywhere," because I've only seen two, and one leads up to a ledge that you could get to by just running up the slope that's right underneath it. I'm being serious, too. I must keep missing them.
It's as if Sonic has too much friction or something. Seems to be a common problem with Sonic's rolling in many games these days.
That is actually a really good idea. Then you could use the warning signs they had in Generations to show the ones where Tails can't catch you for the fairer ones / legitimate difficulty. But that is probably not going to be the case.
Although I like the danger signs, I really don't think they should be in every game. The older games always used other means of being fair rather than by plastering danger signs everywhere. The one bit which was irritating was that one pit in Mystic Cave Zone but the rest of the time the classics were very good. Even the Advance games didn't need signage. You either knew a pit was coming or you were already over one fucking huge one, which although wasn't always good, at least you knew, that's the point :v: Plus they're not exactly pretty. Not all rural landscapes are going to have conveniently placed signs either, that just kinda cheapens it, though I suppose having blinking lamp posts and rings scattered everywhere is also really realistic.
He is supposed to behave like a marble when rolling down, not like a realistic hedgehog. Gosh, indeed. =P
Chill, they can probably be turned off like how Generations did its warning signs. its only for newcomers anyways.
I wasn't aware that my post sounded like I wasn't chilled... Me and my older brother were discussing the state of current video games the other day. It started when I was playing The Revenge of Shinobi and we both stated how hard that game is, and how nowadays all video games try to hold the players hands too much and give far too much freedom. "Newcomers" shouldn't have anything different. I was a newcomer to Sonic once, and I learned through mistakes, and by doing, rather than having stuff to tell me what I should already be seeing. I like the idea of being able to have an option to turn signs on, but it's still reflective of the state of the industry. I actually partially blame Nintendo by starting this trend with the Wii and all their games on that system. For example, I loved Skyward Sword but again it was constantly reminding me to do stuff, even going as far to tell me when I had three hearts left as if I couldn't see them. Even Call of Duty gives the leading NPC character a big sign above his head saying "FOLLOW", like the character actually telling me to stay low and follow his lead wasn't enough. Games need to be harder, and they need to stop telling us what to do and where to be careful like we're thick as shit. I was fortunate Generations allowed me to turn the signs off, as clever as they are. I don't mind seeing the Game Over screen as long as it was my doing. Games should be created to feel fair in the first place.
