I've seen this up on eBay for awhile now, only finding out recently that the guy selling it was actually burning copies onto GD-Rs. Shame :/ Anyway, I hope we see a compiled list of differences soon, or any hidden things.
UG purges inactive accounts every 5-10 minutes, so you can hammer them at every 0:05 until you can register, or you can ask someone for an invite (not sure if that can get you in with the user cap, but its worth a try).
My thoughts exactly, slightly disappointing. What interesting differences are there, if any? I never played any of the Shenmue games so I wouldn't know what to look for.
Being the US version Beta, can I surmise that it is ver 0.4 of the English translation? ie the Japanese version with 40% of the japanese to english translated?
version numbering doesn't mean shit, check the iso burn dates instead. 2000/08/18, usa retail is 2000/09/18.
which is still a year after the japanese release, so it's just going to be something during the localisation process between the final japanese release and the final US release.
From what I understand, this has some neat debug features that let you access a couple of unused places. Though aside from that, it's pretty close to final.
Being just one month away from the US release, it's likely it already has all the assets present in the final version...
Oh yeah? What kind of places? I'm at work and Assembler is blocked, and I keep forgetting to check it at home.
