Is there documentation, or information regarding not the special stage layouts, palettes, etc, but the actual workings of the Sonic 3 / Sonic & Knuckles / Blue spheres stages (physics, object behavior, etc)? I've been looking (online, and on these forums), and not finding a lot, which sucks as I'd like to mess around with it... unless I am a total idiot, and missed some glaring, in-your-face resource.
It'd be a lot of fun to make S3k/Blue spheres hacks that had custom objects in it, if only I knew where in the relevant disassemblies that data was, and how they worked - I was inspired by Cinossu's Blue Spheres hack (where, when playing as Knuckles, you need to collect the red spheres), and curious - not only how he did it, but how I could do my own thing with the special stage objects.
Okay, tell you what. I've been neglecting my blog pretty bad, and I need to port green spheres over to my hack at some point anyway, so I'll kill two birds with one stone and blog about it as I go through the process. Sound good?
