Yes, that's an incredibly low number, but it's going to be a long time before I finish. All of the information in this guide was found by me, unless otherwise said so. Guide attached.

I love you. I fucking love you.

I can't believe you found the past music! Thank you ever so motherfucking much. Your locations will be of great help to me, and I'll finish what you started. :(

Basically I just searched for 0683, because according to your guide that was what those header bytes usually were, and that was what I got. =P

I took a look at the music locations. Are you sure that it is music data? You checked, right?

Yes, only that's the sound you make when opening a bag of chips.

I haven't downloaded the guide. I just want to ask, is this the final Sonic CD or any of the betas?

It's a hacking guide for the 512 beta.

Now that I think about it, there's no past music in 512. *hits head*

I'll just look them up in the final, and when I find it I'll post it. :P

SCD seems to have some kind of special format; I can't find the past music in any of the SNCBNK files.

Untrue. They aren't in the SNCBNK files. Those hold the PCM samples used in the music. The actual notation data is located somewhere else. It is in the same format; Saxman confirmed it to me. He just doesn't remember where it was located.

Do you know whether they're in the *.MMDs or not? Because that information would narrow down my search a lot.

    I'm sure they are.

Try searching the past .MMDs. It would make sense to put them in there.

I've narrowed it down to 2 offsets in R11B__.MMD:

    3705D
    37844

I'll test it out. The offset will be common among all the *.MMDs/

Fraid neither of those are music, sorry. =\

Dang. There are only two more offsets in R11B that even have a slight possibility of being music:

    36FC5
    72C3

If neither of those are music either, something is wrong with either me or XVI32.

    None of those either. =\

I think we're searching for the wrong thing. I wish I could find at least one bit of music so I could take a look at it.
