Marble Zone lava Animated pattern distortion

    Ok, in Marble zone, the original lava animation(which will be the blue ring art) is really screwed up. I figured out how to eliminate the scrolling part of it, but not the distortion. see the image below.

    does anyone know how to eliminate this?

    I don't know if it helps (because I'm not sure what you're asking) but the animated lava graphics are stored in the ROM as 32x32 tiles, which are converted to normal 8x8 tiles for the VRAM. This means it would be easier to edit them with a hex editor than with TLP.
