So... I'm trying to play Sonic CD on my Gens Kmod... all I get is a message stating: "RAM cartridge is not initialized. Use Options screen to initialize ram cartridge." This also happens on the Gens version I got with Sonic SAGE 2010. (Gens/GS r7). Any answers?
Start the Sega CD emulator without an ISO or bin/cue (boot from your computer's opitical drive without a disk is usaully the quickiest way in alot of emulators) and choose options and the emulated ram cart or built in ram to use. Choose format and choose yes. Like a real Sega CD actually from what I heard. Make sure your using the right bios images as well.
I'm trying to select the option Boot CD, and it's doing absolutely NOTHING. On both previously mentioned emulators.
Errr. Well. First go to options and choose current CD-ROM drive, otherwise if you can't select a drive go to options and ram cart size and choose none. I haven't use Gens or it's varients since 2008 for my emulating needs. But I did download the version of Gens version you were using to see what was going on and hope this post helps.
*smacks head* Of course. I suppose, I didn't have a Sega CD add-on when I was younger, just the Genesis nor did anyone else. *laughs*
