Lurking around Mercadolivre, Brazil's ebay, I've just found this. Looks like an official Tec-toy port of Sonic Drift 2 for Master System http://produto.mercadolivre.com.br/MLB-551396745-sonic-drift-2-para-master-system-_JM I've never seen something like this before. At first I thought it would be just a repro of the Sonic Drift 2 master system port hack someone made here at retro (sorry, cant remember the name />/> ) but this looks official, with manual, posters and the regular ad cards. Could this be another Sonic Blast like thing? I foggily remember Sonic Blast for sms was discovered back in mid '00... I cant buy from that site, maybe any brazilian retro member can buy and dump to see if its original or not? I cant understand brazillian so maybe the guy says if its official or not in the description? Edit: nevermind, just found its a repro cart. Should we start a discussion about good reproductions of hack games? If not, just trash.
And, that cart is being sold for $100. More expensive than my Sega CD + Mega Drive + Games I bought some years ago.
It's likely a reproduction. EDIT: Well if this is about good reproductions, the above is mine and I have a matching Sonic drift 2.
Yeah, I was super weirded out by seeing these on Ebay yesterday. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/271471559309?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/271471560144?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 Are people making these pretending to be Tec Toy, or are Tec Toy continuing to make weird Master System games using Shibunoa's Rom hacks?
They're fakes. But surprisingly good fakes so well done to whoever is responsible. Now stop selling them so they don't mislead people.
Former, you mean. I think it's pretty scummy to make such a reproduction without dropping glitch or shibunoa a line first. I got permission from both before making my carts. Permission, honestly, shouldn't be required, but a quick "thanks for enabling me to do this" would be nice.
