Blue Skies, Green Hills I just grabbed it myself so I can't pass judgement just yet, but I will say, skipping around, I'm hearing a lot of wubs and a lot of dubs. Expect dubstep and people who think they can rap. Whether these are good things or not have yet to be determined, I guess.
Falk's track is brill (and water is wet, and the sky is blue). However a lot of the others almost sound like they're being intentionally bad. I guess I just don't get it.
I don't understand why they had to mix Hidden Palace with Pumpkin Hill. You couldn't pick two less-related tracks to mash. I wanted to hear a full version of HP in that style.
Not a whole lot I like about this, although I echo the comments about Falk's track. Pretty good, and the inclusion of the saxophone was bold and sexy.
Glados singing Sonic Boom? Never thought I'd have that mental image... Somehow, it fits. Over all, I actually like this music. Oh, and, um... Falk.
Welp, cat's getting out of the bag. I've been involved in a shit-ton of semi-professional and professional projects in the past few months, a lot of the latter which I can't really talk about. (Till stuff gets released (Bioshock Infinite :woop woop: ) or till related parties make formal announcements) One big one to watch out for though is this: It's a ridiculous lineup of talent crammed into one dream compilation album. The sample tracks, while good, don't really do the album justice. There's a sick original by Akira Yamaoka. http://www.destructoid.com/world-1-2-is-insane-and-I-must-have-it-in-my-earholes-251848.phtml On topic, I really like Blue Skies, Green Hills, although you might argue that my taste in music is really, really broad. There's a -lot- of indie composers in that lineup, and having followed their work for a while it's quite an honor to get the final throw-it-together/mastering pass gig for the undertaking. Fav track has to be Casino Night by far, though. (p.s. Stuff like this is a big reason ATS has been delayed as much as it has. I sorry T___T)
Man, some of these were just awful. I had a pretty good laugh at the Pumpkin Hill/Hidden Palace one though. Was that serious? :v: There were a few that I liked alright. The Jungle Joyride remix one for example, if only on the merit that it's actually a remix of Unleashed night music. You don't see that much of that surprisingly. Falk's Rad Train remix was bitchin' of course, who hasn't heard that by now? The rest...ehhh. Pass.
