Amass tons of rings with this crazy code

    Was looking at the location for patching in some Game Genie codes into my hack with ESEII and was working on changing the "Sonic won't lose rings" code into a "Sonic only loses 25 rings at a time" code. Anyway, I was looking at address (16-bit) $12152 and changed it from 31FC to 31F0. Then I gathered a few rings and found the rings counter to be practically maxed out! I finished the level and ended with about 21 extra lives thanks to the number of rings I finished with. Just be prepared to wait a while as it calculates your score.

    The Game Genie code for this change is 8ATT-DCLW.
    Made an error in the last post; you need to LOSE your rings to max out the counter.

    I used to do this all the time on Sonic 3 with the super sonic box.... =P
